Plans, designs, and supports fabrication tooling systems. Responsible for organizing highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of tooling projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and design tooling systems to optimize production efficiencies.
- Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with company standards.
- Consult and oversee the construction of tooling systems with die shop personnel.
- Confer with production, process technicians, and QA during tooling development and line trials.
- Implement operating procedures and provides training on tooling systems

Skills, Qualifications, Education and/or Relevant Experience:
- Experience with Solidworks and AutoCAD preferred, or equilivlant 3D and 2D software
- Experience with MS Office software
- 3-5 years experience mechanical design/machining/extrusion process
- Ability to work effectively with others as a team.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
- Strong technical knowledge of the extrusion and machining processes.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be seen as a leader who will take charge of situations.
- Good computer skills.
- Highly motivated,self starter, who can work without direct supervision.
- Positive attitude with a focus towards continuous improvement.
- Minimum education requirement: Prefer a BS in engineering, minimum of an associates degree with the intent to further education to obtain a BS.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive work that can change rapidly.
- Must be able to work while standing for long periods.
