About this Position
Pay Range:

Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care as directed following established methods, procedures and standards. Position Objective:
The MedicalAssistant is a clinical role and is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. Patient Support:

The Field MedicalAssistant will travel to patient homes to provide essential clinical support and ensure smooth telehealth experience. This role includes performing patient intake, triage, and vital sign measurements, assisting providers during virtual visits, and delivering compassionate care in a home setting. The Field MedicalAssistant will also collect specimens, conduct point-of-care testing, maintain accurate documentation, and uphold compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Travel to patient homes safely and on schedule to deliver in-home clinical services.
Perform patient intake, including verifying identity, demographics, medical history, and current medications.
Conduct triage assessments and report findings promptly to the supervising provider.
Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation).
Assist providers during telehealth visits, ensuring proper technology setup and patient comfort.
Collect and process specimens (blood, urine, swabs) following proper protocols.
Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose checks, rapid strep tests).
Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, medication instructions, and follow-up requirements.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards.
Manage and restock medical supplies and equipment for mobile visits.
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to coordinate care.
Respond to urgent situations appropriately and escalate care when necessary.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited MedicalAssistant program
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
Active Certified MedicalAssistant (CMA) license
Current CPR/BLS certification
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience in home health
Telehealth experience
Physical Requirements:
Ability to drive for extended periods and navigate various neighborhoods safely. Lift, carry, and move medical equipment and supplies up to 25 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching during patient care activities. Ability to assist patients with mobility when necessary. Manual dexterity to operate medical instruments and technology (e.g., telehealth devices, EHR systems). Visual and auditory acuity to accurately assess patients and communicate effectively. Tolerance for working in varied home environments, which may include stairs, pets, and differing cleanliness standards.
