Manager, Medical Group Practice Performance
Baylor Scott & White Health 4.5
Dallas, TX job
The Manager, Medical Group Practice Performance role serves as a system-level connector between clinic operations and Patient Access to ensure consistent alignment with enterprise access standards across all BSWH Medical Group markets. This role partners directly with operational and physician leaders to improve access performance, and reduce variation across the system.
The position provides a formal mechanism to translate Access Council strategy into sustainable clinic-level execution by facilitating multi-market collaboration between Patient Access, System Leaders, and front-line clinic teams. Through these forums, the manager ensures performance aligns with both patient demand and provider capacity.
Leveraging access, utilization, and operational performance data, this role identifies & reports access metrics, surfaces underutilized capacity, and connects clinics to the appropriate technical and operational teams for resolution. A sustained focus on fill rate, realized rate, and template utilization enables consistent conversion of provider capacity into patient access and supports improved performance across all markets.

Instead, it strengthens governance, accountability, and consistency by ensuring system level connections are immediately established to execute access strategy reliably, equitably, and at scale across the Medical Group.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong relationship management, operational acumen, and change leadership, helping translate enterprise strategy into consistent, sustainable clinic-level practices & collateral that enhance practice performance and unlocks hidden access across the Medical Group.

* Serve as the primary liaison between medical group, clinic operations, and market leadership to ensure adherence to system access policies.
* Facilitate collaboration across multiple specialties and markets between Access Strategists, Epic Analysts, and clinical leadership.
* Support implementation of Rapid Access Deployment (RAD) to expand timely appointment availability and reduce patient wait times.
* Monitor and analyze access performance metrics, including fill rate, realized rate, no-show rate, and template utilization, using data to drive targeted improvement.
* Champion change management and communication, helping local teams adopt new workflows and build accountability for maintaining access standards.
* Represent the Medical Group access team in market leadership meetings, providing updates, escalation pathways, and feedback to system-level governance groups.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
* Servant Leader with high core values.
* Possesses mental agility to successfully deliver a variety of different and complex project types.
* Knowledge of project management principles, techniques, monitoring systems and software needed to manage multiple projects.
* Experience in managing multiple projects requiring interdepartmental cooperation.
* Solution oriented and demonstrates flexibility in problem solving, using collaborative techniques to identify project problems and implement solutions.
* Ability to influence others to a particular point of view using business logic, data and experience.
* Must be able to develop and present a professional product to multiple levels of management.
* Ability to communicate assignments and due dates in a clear, professional and concise manner.
* Project Management Certification a plus.
