Key Responsibilities
• Support lead scientists and technologist leaders in experimental activities and studies.
• Conduct plastic compounding and testing using lab equipment (Brabender machines, extruders, presses, ovens, balances, Instron tensile tester, etc.).
• Safely execute laboratory work requests, operate and maintain equipment, and document results in electronic systems.
• Prepare and perform standard and some non-routine lab procedures, including sample preparation and equipment setup.
• Maintain ISO-9001 certification for equipment and operator training.
• Participate in safety programs and evaluate procedures for safety and data quality.
• Engage in team meetings focused on safety, process improvement, and problem solving.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Plus one of the following:
◦ 2+ years of experience in polymer compounding/processing OR
◦ Associate's Degree or higher with emphasis in Chemistry or related technology field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Assistant to the Instructor of the General Physics Laboratories (Phys111 and Phys112). The student LA will help students taking the course through their laboratory work, including problem solving, equipment demonstration, troubleshooting, and preparation. The LA will attend a weekly pedagogy meeting and be present for labs.
Responsibilities:
The student LA will be expected to interact with students in a respectful manner, in keeping with the values of the Physics and Astronomy Community. They will attend a 30-min weekly pedagogy meeting, and attend a three-hour lab. We expect 3.5 hrs of work per week, for roughly 12 weeks.

Completes reports and maintains records and documentation of test results by entering and verifying data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Operates analytical equipment for medical laboratory tests. Monitors, cleans, calibrates and maintains devices and instruments according to manufacturer specifications and relevant standards. Troubleshoots malfunctions and initiates corrective action. Keeps accurate records of all equipment checks and maintenance actions performed.
Adheres to established quality control policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy and validity of laboratory results. Recognizes factors that affect measurements and takes appropriate action according to protocol. Follows QC protocols for all testing before releasing results. Documents quality control results in compliance with regulatory agencies. Participates in Proficiency testing program.
Maintains clinical competency by annually fulfilling regulatory requirements. Participates in hospital/laboratory in-services for educational purposes as well as to comply with accrediting agency regulations.
Other laboratory technician duties as assigned by the lead, supervisor or manager, including: the provision of technical education and training to other technicians and students if requested in order to meet the criteria established by the student's institution.

Essential Duties:
Perform outbound calls to treating physician offices and claimants to schedule PGx and/or Toxicology testing of patients; verify contact information during initial call.
Advise nurses, medical assistants, patients, and at times the treating physician as to why the test is being administered and the procedures surrounding the testing.
Follow up with physician office post appointment to ensure testing was administered; reschedule missed testing as necessary.
Facilitate virtual observations of oral PGx and oral Toxicology tests with claimants.
Document all details surrounding initial phone call, appointment time and dates, follow up calls, rescheduling of appointments, verifying contact information, and any other necessary details.

The lab assistant position entails calibrations and maintenance of various laboratory equipment for our 760 Exton location located on Pennsylvania Drive. Primarily calibrating freezers, incubators, automation platforms and various other smaller lab equipment's. The position requires an individual to be flexible at the requests of laboratory scientists including buffer prep and various instrument flushing. General laboratory housekeeping is also included.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ability to read and position various calibration instruments.
Ability to keep documentation in a neat and orderly fashion.
Ability to lift to 50lbs.
Ability to follow safety procedures.
Ability to work as a team.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
