As a Lab Technician, you will be responsible for developing operating procedures and performing tests for various water and wastewater treatment operations. Your role will involve conducting jar tests to determine and optimize chemical dosing, evaluating bench and pilot scale systems, and performing column and batch testing for ion exchange resins, carbon adsorption, and other filtration systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct jar tests to determine and optimize chemical dosing for various treatment approaches.
Perform bench and pilot scale evaluations.
Conduct columns and batch testing for ion exchange resins, carbon adsorption, activated alumina, and filtration systems.
Collect data by measuring and recording operating conditions such as pumping rates, pH, ORP, temperature, and pressure.
Operate and conduct light maintenance on small-scale equipment including pumps, heaters, and mixers.
Prepare samples and reagents for testing and in-house lab analyses.
Perform various laboratory analyses including DO, color, temperature, ORP, alkalinity, hardness, TSS, TDS, COD, TOC, turbidity, and phosphorus/phosphate.
Pull samples for third-party laboratory analysis.
Maintain reagents, lab inventory, calibration records, and SDS documentation for lab chemicals and reagents.
Manage and communicate data effectively.
Maintain the cleanliness of lab equipment and operating areas.
Essential Skills
Strong background in laboratory techniques, chemistry, and wet chemistry.
Proficiency with standard laboratory instruments such as pH meters, TSS probes, HACH spectrophotometers, analytical balances, and volumetric glassware.
Experience with instrumentation such as ICP, GC, and HPLC is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work precisely in solution making, data handling, and instrument operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory, Molecular Technologist
A typical day for the Molecular Technologist includes sample multiplexed immunofluorescent labeling/staining, digital imaging, quality control review of digital imaging, and test analysis output reviews. The technologist would be working with equipment setups for staining and imaging, as well as reagent preparations, specimen management, and assisting with inventory and quality management tasks as needed. This role will spend the most time on three main activities: histological staining and imaging, specimen management and preparation, and quality control review checks and documentation associated with high complexity clinical laboratory testing.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution, plus 1-2 years of experience in a molecular biology testing environment, clinical, or equivalent laboratory environment. And/or have completion of military training for laboratory technicians as high complexity testing personnel. Completion of a 50-week U.S. military medical laboratory training program
Minimum coursework and training requirements:
24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses, including 6 semester hours of both Chemistry & Biology & an additional 12 semester hours in any combination of Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science.
AND Completion of a clinical laboratory training program, OR at least 3 months of documented laboratory training in each specialty area where the individual will perform high-complexity testing.
The Molecular Technologists in the clinical laboratory are placed on a track towards obtaining American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) board certification if not already credentialed upon hire and expected to obtain such a certification within 2 years of employment. Position Overview

RISE Center College of Health and Human Sciences RISE Center lab assistants are nursing majors who have successfully completed core 2nd year courses: NURS2020 Assessment and NURS3015 Foundations. They assist faculty and staff in the smooth running of the RISE Center both in classes and behind the scenes. Lab Assistants are responsible for working with students, administrators, faculty, staff, visitors as well as equipment and supply cleaning, maintenance, set up and tear down.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the RISE Center Director, and with guidance from the Lab Assistant Manager, and simulation faculty, the student worker will be responsible for assistance with coordinating the following operational aspects of the RISE Center. Hours: approximately 8 to 10 hours per week for up to 15 weeks per semester
Responsibilities: • Maintain RISE Center as a clean, safe, and operational facility and optimal learning environment.
* Assist faculty in supporting peers and underclass-students in physical assessment and psychomotor nursing skills. Lead open lab sessions for underclass-students
* Provide support for lab instructors during Assessment and Foundations Lab
* Set up and clean rooms, mannequins and equipment before and after labs, simulations, meetings and tours.
Staff the front desk, monitor, assist and record external visitors, sign out loaned equipment, monitor locker key use, and other related assignments.
* Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and other disposable and non-disposable items for the operation of the center.
* Participate in Lab Assistant staff meetings.
* Assure that equipment is in good working condition prior to the start of all classes/ labs
* Independently, or as part of a team, assist others, including faculty and staff, in utilization of simulation equipment, providing an appropriate orientation and training to simulator/ mannequin features, equipment, and the simulated learning environment.
* Lead tours of the RISE Center and demonstrate equipment to new users and visitors.
* Provide faculty instructors with instructional tools and technical or administrative support to carry out simulator sessions, including setting up room, and collecting feedback from students.
* Compile supportive documents and props to enhance teaching sessions.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and practices for the RISE Center.
* Serve as liaison between the simulation center and, community outreaches, and other simulation centers.
* Maintain data and student confidentiality and security.
* Develop professional working relationships with administrators and healthcare professionals.
* Recruit, train, and supervise other RISE Center student worker employees to assure effective maintenance and repair of simulator and clinical equipment.
* Ensure that all work assignments meet deadlines and standards of quality.
* Monitor and control daily operations and assist with other special projects or initiatives.
* Access RISE Center schedule via computer and participate in creating work schedule.
* Accurately and consistently record own hours worked
Keep Manager informed of issues that impact the RISE Center.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications Education: • Enrolled in BSN Program. Successful completion of Nursing Assessment NURS 2020, and Foundations of Nursing Practice NURS 3015 with an "A" grade strongly preferred. Experience: • Previous experience in clinical care and education is preferred. • Computer and Microsoft Office Experience Skills and Attributes: • Knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology and clinical applications. • Knowledge of video recording • Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills. • Excellent, mature communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills. • Ability to work under pressure and reliably meet deadlines. • Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision. • Ability to carry out responsibilities in a timely and meticulous manner demonstrating initiative and creativity. • Ability to coordinate training assignments, tasks, and schedules. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with healthcare professionals. • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding job assignments and sensitive issues. • Ability to assess situations and adapt to highly dynamic environment. • Ability to work evening/weekends. • Work requires occasional heavy lifting and use of specialized medical equipment.

MWD Lab Technician responsibilities will be to assist the Measurements team in assuring that MWD tools used in the drilling industry are built and run properly in the field.
