    Medical transcriptionist job in Lincoln, IL

    Performs both administrative and clinical tasks in the clinical setting, including taking vital signs, preparing for exams (equipment and exam rooms), cleaning of both exam rooms and equipment after completion of examination, maintaining medical records, confirming appointments, essentially acting as a bridge between the examiner and the claimant to ensure smooth office operations. Pay: 23.05/hr Key responsibilities of a medical assistant: * Clinical duties: * Take vital signs (blood pressure and pulse) * Prepare claimant for examination (Electrocardiogram testing/Pulmonary Function Testing) * Draw blood for lab tests * Perform Pulmonary Function Testing * Perform Electrocardiogram - uploading for official reading * Calibrate equipment (Pulmonary Function machine - daily, AED - monthly) * Chaperone claimant during an examination * Administrative duties: * Check-in/Check-out claimants * Order entry for diagnostic testing (labs/sleep study/X-rays/PFTs) * Review of medical records * Answer phone calls and greet claimants * Manage clinic flow * Maintain medical supplies (order as inventory is low and remove expiring/expired items) Required skills for a medical assistant: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with claimants effectively * Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate claimant record's review * Basic understanding of medical terminology * Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively * Proficiency with computer systems for electronic medical records (EMR) * Ability to follow established medical protocols and safety guidelines * Up-to-date BLS certification ABOUT LOYAL SOURCE Loyal Source is an Orlando-based workforce solutions provider dedicated to delivering elite services worldwide, with a focus in government healthcare, technical and support services, engineering, and travel healthcare.
