The Medical Assistant is a key member of the care team and supports providers with both clinical and administrative tasks. Duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy and point-of-care tests, administering medications within scope, assisting with procedures, updating the electronic health record, and helping coordinate follow-up care. Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care. Maintain and update patient medical records accurately. Escort patients to examination rooms and ensure their comfort. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and follow-up visits. Handle patient billing and insurance processing. Manage medical inventory and order supplies as needed.
