Job Description:
The Machine Operator satisfies customer requirements of quality, quantity, and delivery in a safe manner while maximizing productivity. The Press Brake Operator sets up and/or operates power-press brake machine to bend, form, or straighten material as specified by work order and customer requirements.
Qualifications:
-2+ years of machine operating experience on press brake preferred but not required
-Knowledge on reading calipers
-Knowledge on reading micrometers
-Knowledge on reading a digital protractor
-General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
-Skilled at measuring machined features using a variety of measuring instruments
-Detail oriented with ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
* Should have prior experience with the metals service center industry
* Broad experience with safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies
* Strong planning and organizational skills with analytical and decision-making abilities
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Intermediate computer literacy; preferably Microsoft Office Products
* Must be highly motivated, results-oriented individual
* 4-year degree; business or technical field
* 5 plus years' experience in a production /manufacturing environment; preferably 2+ years of supervisory/managerial experience
