The Managing Attorney for the Office of Solicitor General performs legal work involving interpreting laws and regulations; preparing legal opinions, briefs, and other legal documents; rendering legal advice and counsel; consulting with trial attorneys; assisting in preparing cases for trial; aiding in the professional development of less experienced staff; drafting bills for legislative consideration; and assisting the Solicitor General in managing the affairs and duties of the function of the Solicitor General.
The Managing Attorney for the Office of Solicitor General will assist the Solicitor General in the following ways: Coordinating and supervising staff solicitors; participates in complex legal actions; oversees all law office operations including case assignment and hiring, supervision, and professional development of the law office staff, as well as budgeting; manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs; ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets; has authority for personnel actions; and extensive knowledge of department processes.
*Responsibilities*
Problems are often not well defined and are non-recurring but may bear some resemblance to problems encountered earlier. Precedent, policy, laws and regulations, and court precedent offer some guidance, but latitude and judgment is required in determining the appropriate course of action. Guidance is also available from the Solicitor General when necessary. Creativity and resourcefulness are often required to produce effective solutions.
Information necessary to make decisions may be incomplete or conflicting. In such cases, inferences must be drawn from the information available, and decisions are made based on incomplete, misleading, or conflicting information. Poor decisions may have a long-term effect on Band resources, the Band's ability to govern effectively, and the level of service provided to Band members.
The Managing Attorney will assist the Solicitor General, the Deputies, and the staff on decision making and direction.
*Experience*
* Distinguished graduate of an ABA accredited law school with a LL.B. or J.D. degree.
* Five (5) to Nine (9) years of experience in American Indian law and court systems.
* Member in good standing with the State Bar of Minnesota.
* Must possess a license to practice law in the State of Minnesota and Federal Court.
* Knowledge of legal principles, practices, and proceedings and of laws, regulations and rules, relating to the Band.
* Ability to plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
* Experience in conducting hearings, preparing opinions and briefs, preparing cases for trial, and appealing cases to higher courts.
* Ability to interpret and apply laws.
* Ability to communicate effectively and persuade or lead others.

We are looking for an HVAC Channel Manager to join our growing Market Transformation team! The Market Transformation team is responsible for accelerating the development and adoption of emerging energy efficiency and electrification technologies and practices, bringing them more rapidly to scale. This role will report to the Initiative Manager - ASHPs and will work to support key HVAC market transformation initiatives. We will be selecting one candidate to join our team as either a Level I or Level II HVAC Channel Manager. While the roles are similar, there are marked differences in responsibilities and experience.
The HVAC Channel Manager is responsible for helping to catalyze residential air source heat pump (ASHP) technology in the market to reach aggressive adoption goals by representing the market perspective and effectively engaging in the market. This key team member will work with manufacturers, distributors and contractors to find creative and impactful ways to grow adoption of ASHP technology to achieve customer and societal benefits. Ideal candidates are HVAC technical experts and industry influencers seeking a role where they can apply their talents to a larger mission of positive change in the industry. The HVAC Channel Manager brings extensive expertise in the supply chain regarding market dynamics, structure and trends, and provides specialty with one or more supply chain actor audiences.

How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Plant Operator is an experienced position performing operations, monitoring and maintaining Environmental Services wastewater treatment plants in the seven-county metro area to ensure the highest quality water and air standards possible for the region. Our nine wastewater treatment plants are located in: Cottage Grove, Eagan, Empire Township, Hastings, Rogers, Shakopee, St. Paul, Stillwater, and East Bethel. Operators could be assigned to any of the nine plants at hire and then bid for positions based on seniority.
Work Schedule for Plant Operators: Treatment plants operate 24/7 year-round. Plant operators work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts. Plant location and work shift are determined through a job bid process. Most operators work a 12-hour shift (7 am to 7 pm -OR- 7 pm to 7 am) on one of the following schedules:
First week: Monday - Wednesday
Second week: Monday - Thursday
First week: Friday - Sunday
Second week: Thursday - Sunday

What you would do in this job
Operations and Equipment:
Operate process control equipment (i.e., start/stop and control speed and flow rates on various types of pumps, compressors, generators, blowers, conveyor belts, incinerators, tanks, rotating equipment, instrumentation, land spreading and bio-solids) to ensure our compliance with permits requirements.
Monitors and controls plant functions through computer information (i.e., SCADA), computers, automatic controllers, or manual controls to ensure proper process operations are maintained (i.e., feed rates, pressure, temperature, tank levels, sludge blanket levels, voltage, current, and other various parameters).
Operate, control, and monitor treatment process equipment (preliminary, primary, secondary, disinfection, incineration, odor control, dewatering, and solids handling processes).
Monitor and control plant functions through computer information (i.e., SCADA), computers, automatic controllers, or manual controls to ensure proper process operations are maintained (i.e., feed rates, pressure, temperature, tank levels, sludge blanket levels, voltage, current, and other various parameters).
Monitor raw water, process water conditions, and add and adjust chemicals accordingly.
Respond to spills, sewage stoppage, and cleanup of overflow by taking appropriate corrective action.
Maintenance:
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and instruments to ensure efficient operation and accurate instrument reading. Performs routine adjustments and minor repairs to motors, pumps, and valves: Cleans tanks, weirs, pumps and other process control equipment utilizing hand tools and power tools.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials; inspect and monitor equipment. Troubleshoots operational and equipment problems.
Maintain facility by cleaning, sweeping, and hosing down equipment, piping, and valves.
Safety:
Perform maintenance checks and service on safety equipment and stations, including fire extinguishers, first aid equipment, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, eye wash stations and respirator equipment.
Use appropriate safety equipment (respirator equipment, oxygen, toxic/explosive monitoring equipment meters) necessary to complete work in hazardous atmospheres.
Apply proper safety precautions, rules and regulations, and practices of a wastewater treatment plant. Must follow standard safety protocol and standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and respirators as needed.
Respond to emergency on-call situations.
Identify safe work practices to properly use safety equipment.
Technical:
Perform general maintenance and repair operations, with the use of tools, materials, and equipment.
Perform troubleshooting functions. Make routine adjustments to motors, pumps, and other equipment.
Use computers to track work orders, maintenance activities, tank readings, logbooks, and process summaries.
Communications and Customer Service:
Communicate regularly with the supervisor and others on work progress to coordinate operations and activities.
Collaborate with others and work in teams.
Laboratory Testing and Records and Documentation:
Conduct various process control tests (e.g., pH levels, temperature); collect and test wastewater sewage samples.
Maintain records and documents on operations and equipment (e.g., hourly/daily readings, logbooks, process summaries, work orders, computer data entry).

What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to be considered.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of six (6) months of verifiable work experience in wastewater treatment plants, public utilities, wastewater collection systems, or industrial environments.
Experience Equivalency: Completion of the Wastewater Certification Program or a Water Environments Technology degree may replace 6 months of work experience.
License Requirements: Valid Driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Language: Ability to read at a sufficient level to understand training manuals, safety regulations, federal and state regulations and other regulations. The successful candidate for this position must be able to work independently and be a self-starter. Act as a referral source for all juvenile delinquency and adult criminal cases before the Court. Develop a set of behavior rules (case plan) for each case assigned to the department and enforce those rules with appropriate and legal sanctions for violations. Secure placement for all juveniles before the Court as needed, i.e., foster home, group home, and treatment institutions. Provide liaison support to foster homes and group homes within the County. Provide 24-hour support to the County on all matters concerning clientele and be prepared to respond as situations present. Screen all cases considered for placement to be sure the requirements of current law are being met. Represent the department in most delinquency hearings before the Court. Assist clients in acquiring employment, housing, educational services, etc. Be a resource to local schools in providing information on resources, counseling, and the criminal justice system.
Enforce all requirements of the Constitution of the United States and the State of Minnesota. This position has the general powers of a peace officer with people placed on probation. Establish and supervise job sites for community service work. Meet with community members and other criminal justice personnel as necessary to maintain an information network to collect information for the Court. Maintain a comprehensive and contemporary knowledge of correctional philosophies and the use of evidence-based practices. Acquire a minimum of 50 hours of approved training per calendar year for professional development. This role reports to the Curriculum Development Manager. The team is responsible for training Minnesotans about building science and emerging energy-efficient technologies to transform homes and commercial buildings. We deliver learning experiences and resources that improve energy conservation in Minnesota homes and support energy efficiency careers across the state.

What You'll Do
Training Development, Media Production, and Delivery
Design and build interactive eLearning and blended learning using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline,Articulate Rise,Camtasia(or similar video editing tools), PowerPoint, and Canva.
Create clear, visually coherent representations of complex technical information (e.g., diagrams, flows, step by step procedures, data visuals) that support learner understanding.
Deliver training to internal staff and occasionally external audiences using a variety of modalities (in person, webinar, recorded video, voiceover slide decks, podcasts, and other media).
Coach internal staff and partners on learning design methods, helping them plan and develop effective training for external audiences and market actors.
Content Creation and Learning Design
Partner with the Curriculum Development Manager to design engaging, learner-centered experiences that reduce cognitive load and align with each initiative's training goals.
Translate highly technical building science and energy efficiency concepts into clear, accessible content for practitioners, contractors, and other market actors.
Apply instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE) andlearning experience designprinciples, including adult learning theory, to shape courses, workshops, and resources.
Conduct basic needs analysis using market reports, surveys, interviews, evaluation data, and SME (Subject Matter Expert) consultations to identify performance gaps and learning objectives.
Develop scripts, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant guides, handouts, slide decks, e-learning, job aids, and other support materials to clearly communicate complex information with plain language.
Stay current with trends in eLearning, learning technologies, and best practices in instructional and visual design.
Project Management and Collaboration
Manage multiple training development projects using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Microsoft Teams), from scoping and timelines to delivery and evaluation.
Collaborate with program staff, SMEs, marketing, and external vendors to define learning assets (e.g., video, motion graphics, e-learning, slide decks, infographics, data visualizations) and integrate them into programs.
Administer and update learning management systems (primarily TalentLMS, with some Canvas), ensuring courses and learning paths are well-organized, current, and easy to navigate.
Support coordination of trainings, help set up LMS workflows and email automations, manage learning technology, coordinate materials (digital/print), track certifications, and support CEU applications.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with the Curriculum Development Manager, Director of Training & Workforce Development, Market Transformation Evaluation team, and initiative leads to define success metrics and evaluation approaches.
Help collect and organize training evaluation data and Market Progress Indicators (MPIs) to inform improvements to content, delivery methods, and learner experience.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, templates, and standards that advance CEE's learning design culture.

General Medical Requirements: As determined by OPM the duties of this position require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders, hips and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, legs and feet must function sufficiently in order for applicants to perform the duties satisfactorily.

* Recruitment Incentive: Applicants may be eligible for a $40,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements. The first installment of $15,000 will be paid following successful completion of Secret Service Criminal Investigator training. A second installment of $10,000 will be paid following one year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. The final installment of $15,000 will be paid after a third year of service post training and an acceptable performance rating. Provision of these payments require the execution of a three-year Continued Service Agreement (CSA) with the agency. Newly hired employees who resign from the USSS prior to the expiration of the CSA will be required to repay the recruitment incentive. (NOTE: Eligibility is limited to "Newly appointed" Federal employees as defined by 5 CFR 575.102).
Applicants selected for this position will be required to sign a CSA before being assigned to an initial training class. The CSA will commit the applicant to a specified period of employment with the Secret Service upon the successful completion of training.

GENERAL:
1. The success of athletic programs has a strong influence on the community's image of the entire system. The public exposure is a considerable responsibility and community/parent pressure for winning performance is taxing, but must not override the objectives of good sportsmanship and good mental health. 2. The position includes other unusual aspect such as extended time, risk injury factor and due process predicaments. 3. It is the express intent of this job description to give sufficient guidance to function. In cases not specifically covered, it shall be assumed that a coach shall exercise common sense and good judgment.
4. Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility times. Coordinates program with maintenance and school employees. 5. Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites. 6. Advises the athletic director and recommends policy, method or procedural changes.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES: 7. Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. 8. Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct. 9. By his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling, provides assistance, guidance and safeguards for each participant. 10. Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is considered a participant. 11. Initiates programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies. 12. Completes paperwork on all disabling athletic injuries on proper forms and submits to athletic office within 24 hours. 13. Directs student managers and statisticians. EQUIPMENT: 14. Is accountable for all equipment and collects the cost of any equipment lost or not returned. 15. Permits the athletes to only be in authorized areas of the building at the appropriate times. 16. Examines locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment. 17. * Responsible for leading and coordinating juvenile alternative sanctions.

* Assist with juvenile and adult diversion programs. Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in corrections or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience working with juveniles and community corrections is preferred.

Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.
