**About the Role**

The Facilities Repair Worker-Advanced is responsible for facility maintenance which includes preventive maintenance and minor repair of equipment and building components (i.e. walls, flooring, ceilings, doors, windows, and furnishings) and general grounds maintenance (i.e. snow plowing, landscaping, and lawn care). The position provides supervision and training of residents in mechanical maintenance and repair work assignments.
This position requires the ability to climb and work from ladders, scaffolding or hydraulic lifts. Also, the ability to work under unpleasant conditions such as dirty and dusty areas, extreme cold/heat and small or confined spaces. Moderate to heavy lifting will be required.
The Facilities Repair Worker-Advanced will be required to attend in-service and trainings and be available to respond to emergency call-ins when the need arises.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 03-12 with a starting pay of $23.69/hour. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. A twelve-month probationary period is required.
