* Assures that all instruments, charts, DVR's and radiographs are available in the operatory prior to the arrival of the patient.
* Provides proper instruments, at the correct time, in proper sequence for any given treatment procedure.
* Prepares dental materials correctly, as needed, and in an amount sufficient to meet the needs of the procedure but not so much as to allow wasting of materials.
* Anticipates the sequence of dental procedures and is prepared in advance of them so that the dentist may work as efficiently as possible.

DVR forms.
* The date of the health history review and any changes are entered on the treatment page and initialed by the assistant.
* All exam findings and treatments rendered are recorded completely and accurately in the patient's chart.
* Clinical information entered on the DVR's is completed by the dental assistant. Patients are dismissed with necessary records complete.
F. Assumes the responsibilities associated with any expanded duties that may be delegated by the
Dentist.
* Accepts delegation of only those duties within personal skill levels.
* Exposes X‑ray films suitable for diagnostic purposes.

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the provision of health care services to patients who receive their care at UNHS health centers pursuant to protocols established with the Chief Clinical Officer. Such care may involve ambulatory services, night call care, and skilled nursing facility care. The Nurse Practitioner is expected to participate in quality assurance activity, member satisfaction, appropriate utilization of health care resources, and team meetings.
The Nurse Practitioner supports the UNHS mission to assure access of the underserved to healthcare, to engage patients in a meaningful healthcare experience through the patient-centered health home model, to provide high quality healthcare and to participate in controlling the cost of such care. Must be able to work in a Patient Centered Medical Home model. Must facilitate partnerships between patients, physicians and health teams with focus on care coordination and integration of treatment internally and externally. The Nurse Practitioner supports integrated healthcare involving behavioral health providers and dental health providers in care as appropriate. The Nurse Practitioner will achieve meaningful use of electronic health records each year as the standards are updated and expanded by the federal government.
KNOWLEDGE/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: R.N. and MSN education is needed in primary care
Certification/Licensure: Licensed/certified in the State of Tennessee as appropriate. Maintain basic life support certifications. Maintains current continuing nursing/medical education and requirements for privileging.
Skills and Abilities:
* Must have 2 to 3 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner. Have interpersonal skills to manage and develop the staff within the most immediate work group, and to participate on provider team.
* Has the analytical ability to review internal processes needing improvement and make suggestions.
* Has the verbal ability to communicate thoughts and actions to individual patients and to staff. Is able to provide the same level of care to patients and the same level of cooperation to staff regardless of age, race, color, creed, religion, sex, sexual preference, gender identification, national origin, health status, income level, or payment plan.

SUMMARY: The LPC or LCSW will have primary responsibility for coordinating all psychosocial community services under the general direction of the Behavioral Health Manager. Additionally, responsible for implementing community educational programs, assessing problems and determining appropriate types and methods of treatment, and implementing intervention methodologies for mental health and substance abuse; acts as Program Consultant to staff members with or without professional training; functions in such areas as counseling, protective services, and family services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with multicultural groups, previous work experience in a multicultural setting and willingness to enroll language and multicultural coursework to supplement training if necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondences, ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, management, clients, patients and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to generate and maintain reports from statistical data collected from various resources.

Position requires excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Individual must possess the ability to work efficiently and effectively with all levels of the organization.
