Job Description:
The duties of this technician role will include performing on-site or in-house servicing, repair, and/or installation of ITS/Traffic product(s). Duties may also include any aspect of field support and installation, electrical, data, and fiber optic cable installation; conduit and pull box installation; and pole and foundation installation. The successful candidate will determine the most effective means to install equipment to maximize efficiency. Responsibilities include recording and documenting work for projects, maintaining compliance standards and plans and documents, and providing technical assistance. Hands-on experience with fiber optic systems and/or ITS field devices such as DMS, CCTV, MVDS, RSU, Traffic Signal Controllers, and power systems is required.
Compensation Range: $40,000-$85,000 DOE (Depending on experience)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Installs equipment including but not limited to cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets.
Installs electrical conductor, data conductor, and fiber optic cable.
Installs pull boxes, conduits, poles, and foundations.
Connects conductors to equipment to make equipment work correctly.
Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
Test devices to ensure they work correctly.
Prepares logs to keep track of field conditions and installation activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Selected candidates must pass a pre-employment background check including motor vehicle records check and drug test.

Summary:

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Stardust is an environment for parallel programming on networks of heterogeneous machines. Stardust runs on distributed memory multicomputer and networks of workstations. Applications using Stardust can communicate both through message-passing and distributed shared memory. Stardust includes a mechanism for application reconfiguration.
This mechanism is used for balancing the load of the machines hosting the application, as well as for tolerating machine restarts (anticipated or not). At reconfiguration time, application processes can migrate between heterogeneous machines, and the number of application processes can vary (increase or decrease) depending on the available resources. All of Stardust's reporting capabilities rely on Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT).

Support Technicians help our clients manage their technology, support their employees, and respond to day-to-day support needs. Functions of Support Technician - Level 2
• Handle support tickets and work to resolve client issues within SLA times
• Work with team, Service Delivery Manager, and Team Lead to provide top quality service
• Work on a variety of basic to complex issues requested by end users
• Create tickets, document detailed notes, and accurately tracking time
• Update technical documentation in system
• Own and work email tickets when not answering calls or when requested
• Escalate requests or tickets to Team Lead with detailed notes of attempted remediations and recommended solutions
• Train/Mentor and Assist Support Technician I's
• Identify possible Major Incidents and notify Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager immediately
• Find alternative workarounds to problems when established procedures fail
• Train users in supported software & hardware
• Assist clients with the installation of business line software and related services for infrastructure or end-user
• Vendor management for client related support ticket resolution
