Strong candidates will be skilled in both independent research and reporting, obsessed with details, a diligent fact-checker and skilled with sources. They should be able to write well, framing opinions and arguments on every topic in a confident, concise and authoritative manner. They should also have some familiarity with accessing online databases to ferret out information.
