REPORTS TO: Guest Service Manager/ Assistant General Manager / General Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Night Auditor is responsible for attending to the needs of guests, balancing the revenue and expense transactions that occurred during the day, and performing all of the functions of the front desk staff during the audit shift. The Night Auditor will possess good communications and guest service skills and have the ability to take appropriate action to meet and exceed guest expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals.
Perform quality assurance (QA) requirements for department.
Ensure that all policies, procedures, federal, state and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations and safety are followed.
Remain highly visible and readily available for guests at all times.
Take initiative to offer assistance or answer questions throughout the hotel.
Act as a night manager on duty for the overnight shift.
Adhere to hotel credit policies and procedures, including credit card authorization, direct bill accounts, cash-payment, incidental deposits, etc.
Verify accuracy of all allowances, corrections and miscellaneous vouchers.
Balance all credit card transactions.
Prepare and transmit credit card deposits.
Verify all in-house and closed accounts for accuracy. Validate all rates and post room and tax and open the new business day.
Conduct all steps in the property management night audit system to close the current business day and open the new business day.
Manage guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Document all guest requests, complaints or problems immediately and notify designated department/personnel for resolving the situation. Take as much ownership as possible and follow up to ensure completion and guest satisfaction.
Put all shift work, phone report, restaurant paperwork and wakeup call report and printout in an audit pack.
Balance end-of-shift work and cash drawer.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotel lobby, coffee stations, and front desk area.
All other duties as assigned/required.

Overview
Perform the night audit operations to ensure the maintenance of financial controls, and compliance with hotel standards. Coordinate with other departments (i.e. Security, Housekeeping) to ensure quality service is provided to all guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service and the computer.
Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Hotel experience preferred.
Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.
Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

This is a vital role that blends excellent customer service with accounting precision . You will be the primary contact person overnight, managing guest requests, handling late-night check-ins, and, crucially, balancing the accounts from the day shift, demonstrating your commitment to our value to "Do the Right Thing."
Your Essential Duties: Guest Relations & Accounting
As the Night Auditor, you maintain the front desk workflow and property security while ensuring the financial close for the day is accurate.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Auditing & Accounting: Balance accounts leftover from the day shift. Perform the nightly accounting and auditing operations to ensure an accurate daily close.
Overnight Guest Service: Provide an excellent guest experience by greeting guests warmly and providing assistance, including late-night check-ins. Respond to situations as they arise and manage guest conflict calmly.
Front Desk Operations: Coordinate front desk operations such as check-ins, move-outs, renewals, and reservations . Respond to guest service calls efficiently and expediently .
Inspection & Safety: Ensure safety of the building and occupants , contacting emergency services/law enforcement when needed. Inspect studios and public spaces daily according to company and brand standards.
Sales, Revenue & Additional Duties
You contribute directly to revenue goals and provide essential support for property operations.
Revenue Management: Review Studio Inventory daily to ensure maximization of studio revenue. Maintain effective sales of ancillary offerings to maximize revenue and follow revenue management guidelines .
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all policies and procedures are accurately followed at all times. Document work activity using the appropriate log and according to policy.
Functional Support: Perform Laundry Duties , including sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linen/terry, as well as general cleaning/maintenance of the laundry facilities.
Cross-Training: Cross-train on the duties of all non-management staff members and perform those duties as needed.
Special Operational Functions
On-Site Commitment: Night Auditors are required to stay on site for their entire shift until relieved .
Meal Break: A paid 30-minute meal break is provided in consideration of this requirement. The meal break is to be taken as available.

Job responsibilities:
* Convey shipping instructions to the customer services counter.
* Retrieve import documents and deliver export documents to and from aircraft.
* Accept cargo in accordance with applicable TSA, FAA, Government and Air Carrier rules and regulations.
* Accept dangerous goods in accordance with all applicable FAA Regulations, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, etc.
* Release imported international freight upon review of CBP clearances and authorizations.
* Collect air freight charges.
* Handle phone calls from customers in a professional and courteous manner.
* Report all documentation discrepancies to Office Lead and assist with resolving issues as directed.
* Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments pertaining to procedures and enter data into company's information system as required including international cargo documents handling and freight transfer manifest preparation.
* Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure we are always operating in a safe and responsible manner.
* Complete all training when required by company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.
* Be on time, be prepared, and be safe. Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
* This job requires physical stamina and strength - Lead Office Agents must be able to lift / carry / push / pull and move items up to 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basis and repetitively lift items weighing 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
* Must be able to be alerted to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment to communicate with crew and airport authorities.
* Must be able to work around jet and machinery noises in a warehouse environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Good Communication Skills: Office Agents must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills in order to interact effectively in a professional manner with customers, office agents, and warehouse staff.
* Computer skills: Office Agents require intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
* Basic math skills: Office Agents must be able to calculate payment transactions.
* Problem-solving skills: Office Agents may be called upon to troubleshoot issues during loading and unloading, concentrate on detail, and resolve customer concerns effectively.
* Time management skills: Office Agents must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask.
Qualifications:
* Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
* Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* If work location is in the United States, must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. If work location is in Canada, must have authorization to work in Canada as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) of 2001.
* Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
* If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency.
* Preferred Qualifications - One+ year of Cargo Agent experience.
