**This is a Full Time, salaried position at 40 hours per week located at the Cancer Center.**
The Physicist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The medical Physicist develops and accurately documents every components of the treatment machine parameters that reflect the accuracy of treatment plans, as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, to assure the delivery of quality patient care free of any error on a daily basis. The Physicist is responsible for acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintaining the treatment machine within national guidelines as specified in AAPM guidelines as well as provide daily, monthly and annual QA programs for every piece of equipment used for patient treatment.
Additionally, the Physicist provides validation of the treatment planning system for its accuracy as it relates to the patient. The Physicist is knowledgeable enough for safe operation of every available software for patient care and know the algorithms for dose calculation. This role is a go-to-person on technical component of the hardware/software and collaborates with other sections and supports the clinical needs of the department.
Responsibilities:
Instrumental in acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment, development of new treatment techniques, quantitative analysis of clinical data
Provide QA methodology for simulator, and treatment machines for daily, monthly and annual calibrations as well as documentation for state regulator (IEMA)
Develops methodology for image import, acquisition, and implementation of imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET, PET/CT) for fusion and treatment planning
Implementation of complex treatment plans (IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT) as well as new technology
Assisting in ensuring that all treatment plans are optimized for the best patient care to NM standard and patients are treated in a safe and timely manner
Performs and verifies accuracy of treatment plans and dose calculations
Perform special procedures as needed (e.g. Brachytherapy, TBI, TSEI etc).
Provide or measure in-vivo dosimetry using appropriate detectors; TLDs, diodes, MOSFETS, film, etc., and records the results appropriately and informs physicians of the results and takes appropriate action as necessary
Perform patient related work such as support in simulation, initial chart check, weekly physics check and end of treatment chart check
Be a clinical resource to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and radiation therapists
Adheres to all radiation safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors and staff at all times
Provide assistance for accurate billing and data reporting
Collects data to support the measurement and tracking components of regional quality management and identifies areas for potential improvement and recommends corrective actions
Takes a regional leadership responsibility for process improvement
Qualifications
Required:
Master's or PhD degree in Medical Physics or equivalent.
Board Certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American College of Medical Physics (ABMP) or equivalent.
Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.
Preferred:
A high degree of radiation oncology software and computer knowledge

Required:

The Medical Scribe observes and accurately enters details and decisions from practitioner-patient encounters directly into the (EHR) electronic health record on behalf of the Provider. The Medical Scribe is present during clinical services and accurately documents information, conversations and activity into the EHR in real time, under the direct supervision of the Provider.
Responsibilities:
* Identifies/introduces self and role of Scribe to patient and/or family.
* Accompanies provider during patient interviews and examinations.
* Records pertinent positive and negative findings in patient history and physical examination including history of present illness, past medical/surgical history, social history, review of systems, medications, allergies and family history.
* Records procedures, Provider review of lab tests, Provider review and impression of diagnostic images and/or review of official radiologist interpretations.
* May record time of patient care activities including Provider-to-Provider communication,family communication and re-examination of the patient.
* Assists with preparation of paperwork for disposition of patients from clinic setting.
* Helps increase Provider productivity and workflow by performing a variety of non-clinical tasks including:
* Assisting the Provider(s) in navigating the EHR.
* Researching information requested by the Provider.
* May locate information for review (i.e., previous notes, reports, test results, and laboratory results).
* Complies with all NMHC policies, including those relating to confidentiality of patient information, and all local, State and Federal guidelines for documentation, confidentiality and privacy (HIPAA).

* Tattoo: Applying tattoo using professional techniques

Major Responsibilities:
Provides quality individual, couple, family and/or group therapy, which are focused on the patient's identified diagnosis and needs. Provides crisis intervention to new and current patients as needed. Is available 24 hours a day as needed for current caseload.
Provides clinical/therapeutic services to a diverse client population. Accepts and treats all patients as identified or assigned willingly and with professionalism. Applies brief therapeutic intervention model as appropriate.
Conducts comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, formulates and monitors individualized treatment plans and treatment interventions which are in accordance with the department's Provision of Care and the Hospital's policies.

Provides community education and outreach, including referral development and marketing efforts to generate new business. Willingly accepts this as a necessary part of their job above and beyond caseload requirements.
Accurately completes all documentation responsibilities as outlined in department/service area procedures within established timelines. Documentation responsibilities include but are not limited to: treatment plans, discharge summaries, aftercare plans, records for billing, etc.
Assists in treatment development, innovation and improvements. Participates in performance improvement activities and care management initiatives as directed.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitates and documents comprehensive behavioral health and substance use crisis assessment protocol to identify patient strengths and needs and to establish a recommended level of care disposition
Understands DSM diagnoses, and through clinical contact with the patient and input from the treatment team and natural support system, develops therapeutic interventions, which assist patient in getting urgent mental health needs addressed with the least restrictive level of care.
Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and community partners. Addresses questions and concerns promptly, or identifies appropriate person and resources to do so.
Uses effective service recovery skills to solve problems or address service breakdowns when they occur.
Demonstrates teamwork by helping co-workers within and across departments. Communicates effectively with others, respects diverse opinions and styles, and acknowledges the assistance and contributions of others.
* Utilizes de-escalation techniques to support and treat psychiatric patients. Utilizes evidence-based, trauma, cultural, and recovery-informed practices to guide practices.
Develops effective discharge planning with input from multidisciplinary team and managed care/utilization review. Knowledgeable about referral sources and available community resources.

Qualifications
Required:
1-2 years of experience working with substance abuse and mental health populations.
Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling, or related field

Experience and training in assessment, individual, family, and group counseling.
Must be computer comfortable and/or proficient as much of the medical records are automated.
Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and dedicated to supporting patients.
Preferred:

Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards and in accordance with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.

Job Description
The Triage Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Provides clinically expert triage service within a physicians' practice. In their role, triage nurses serve as liaisons between patients and physicians, assessing and determining the acuity of patients' symptoms and communicating these to the physicians as appropriate. They provide education to patients and to staff concerning clinical issues. Triage nurses must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to function as part of a highly effective team that consistently puts “Patients First.”
Responsibilities:
Establish positive first impressions with patients and customers, establishing a role as patient advocate
Triage all incoming telephone calls and electronic messages, prioritizing and resolving, involving the provider as appropriate, successfully completing the communication cycle.
Document all communications in the electronic medical record.
Schedule patient for visit with provider when telephone assessment indicates this.
Assist in obtaining appointment for patients with specialists within NM.
Coordinate emergency and hospital transfers, including paperwork and telephone communications.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with Nursing Standards and as ordered by the provider.
Provide education to patients and staff concerning clinical issues.
Assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of clinical staff to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Assist in orientation of new staff members.
Perform other duties as assigned; may include
Assist in specific process improvement projects.
Administer intravenous and injectable medications to adult, geriatric and wheelchair bound patients. Must demonstrate competency for age related responsibilities.
Quality control must be maintained during all aspects of patient care. The triage nurse ensures that all exam rooms and equipment are maintained according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Participates in departmental quality improvement activities.\
For triage nurses in the Immediate Care Clinics (ICC), float to other ICCs/departments.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of accredited RN program
At least 3 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
Registered Nurse License issued by State of Illinois Current
CPR certification
Preferred:
BSN
Specialty Certified
At least 5 years' experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
Spanish speaking

**This is a Casual, Esthetician position located on the Lake Forest hospital campus for the Plastic Surgery specialty. This position will be providing areola tattoos for breast reconstruction patients, therefore medical tattooing experience is needed . Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.**
The Esthetician-PNE , under the direction of a medical director and director, helps to improve the health and appearance of the patient's skin by safely performing a variety of facial dermatology procedures in a professional, customer focused manner while ensuring patient comfort. This position is accountable for coordinating, providing, and retailing high quality cosmetic care and products
Responsibilities:
Certified Paramedical Artist specialized in 3D Areola Tattooing for breast cancer survivors
Casual/PNE Role. Expected 4-8 hours per month
Consultation: Discuss patients desired look, color, concerns and realistic expectations
Design: Create a design by measuring and outlining nipple area
Tattoo: Applying tattoo using professional techniques
Assesses the patient, reviews patient's relevant history, prepares appropriate supplies and sterile equipment.
Performs facial dermatology services and/or assist physician with procedures (laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, chemical peels, biopsies, etc.).
Provides patient education and answers questions before, during, and after treatment.
Captures pre- and post-treatment photos.
Evaluates effects of treatment, observes and notes patient's response/progress, makes recommendations and adjustments as appropriate, provides cosmetic consultations.
Promotes additional services and cosmetic products.
Reports patient care problems or equipment deficiencies to management.
Cleans, prepares, and stocks examination and treatment rooms, orders supplies.
May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Aesthetician, Licensed (IL).
Diploma or certification of completion from an accredited institution for Aestheticians.
Zero (0) to two (2) years' experience in a relevant role.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous experience with laser and light-based technology, medical-grad, chemical peels, and use of skincare products in a medical spa (medispa, medspa), dermatology, or plastic surgeon's office.
Specialty certification as required (permanent cosmetic professional).
