Adjunct teaching courses within the Workforce Education programs. Rate of pay dependent upon education/experience.
Required Education
All faculty members must provide minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.
Minimum LVN with at least 5 years work experience in field of study including at least one year working in a skilled nursing facility
(1) Must be a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or an RN in the state of Texas
(2) Have a minimum of two years of nursing experience
(3) Have completed a course focused on teaching adult students or have experience in teaching adult students or supervising nurse aides
(4) At least one year experience providing long term care services in a nursing facility.
Required Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teach courses in the assigned discipline. Maintain familiarity with and adhere to college policies and procedures. Maintain good rapport with students. Flexibility in schedule to teach day/evening/weekend classes. Ensure students are prepared for Prometrics certification exam. Provide hands-on training in clinical lab skills covering each of the required Prometrics skills. Administer and grade student assignments and exams. Complete required NATCEP documentation. Provide necessary reporting to the college. Carefully monitor and provide immediate feedback to students during clinicals. Perform other duties as assigned.
