This role reports to the SVP of Product Architecture and is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing their Azure-based SaaS platform. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure the platform is performant, reliable, resilient, and ready to scale. Key Responsibilities
Monitor production systems for availability, performance, and reliability. Implement logging and alerting to proactively identify and respond to issues.
Manage Azure services, including App Services, Function Apps, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, Application Gateway, and Firewalls.
Plan, build, and maintain real-time connections to customer data centers leveraging VPN tunnels, VWAN, and Firewalls.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep, ARM, Terraform) for consistent, repeatable deployments.
Identify and resolve capacity, scaling, and performance bottlenecks in the platform.
Design and support high availability, disaster recovery, and scaling strategies.

Manage and execute recurring tasks such as new customer database setup, VPN tunnel configurations, IP address whitelisting, email and texting configurations, SSL certificates, and secret and password rotations.
Manage the operating costs of the SaaS platform and implement ways to reduce costs without sacrificing availability, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities
Nuclear Machinist's Mates operate and maintain steam turbines and reduction gears used for nuclear ship propulsion and auxiliary machinery such as turbogenerators, pumps and oil purifiers. They also maintain auxiliary machinery outside of main machinery spaces, such as electrohydraulic steering engines and elevators, refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems and desalinization plants. They may also operate and maintain compressed gas producing plants. Nuclear-trained MMs perform duties in nuclear propulsion plants operating reactor control, propulsion and power generation systems.
Work Environment
As a Machinist's Mate Nuclear, you'll have the opportunity to work at sea or ashore. Your assignment could also place you in an intense, fast-paced environment aboard a nuclear-powered submarine or aircraft carrier.

Training & Advancement
Upon completion of initial training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, (known as Boot Camp), those pursuing a Machinist's Mate Nuclear role report to "A" School in Charleston, SC, for six months. Here, they develop a working knowledge of technical mathematics and power distribution. Students learn to solve basic equations using phasors, vector notations and basic trigonometry and analyze DC and AC circuits. They also learn how to operate electrical equipment using controllers, and how to properly test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, motors and other related electrical equipment.
From there, MMNs move on to Naval Nuclear Power School (NNPS), also in Charleston, SC. Here they learn theory and practical application of nuclear physics and reactor engineering. The six-month course provides a comprehensive understanding of a pressurized-water Naval nuclear power plant, including reactor core nuclear principles, heat transfer and fluid systems, plant chemistry and materials, mechanical and electrical systems, and radiological control.
Following NNPS, MMNs begin prototype training in their rating specialty at one of two Nuclear Power Training Units (NPTUs) - located in Charleston, SC, and Ballston Spa, NY. This six-month course teaches the fundamentals of a Naval nuclear power plant and the interrelationship of its mechanical, electrical, and reactor subsystems. Students develop oral communications skills, obtain an understanding of nuclear radiation, and gain knowledge of the safe operation of a complex Naval nuclear power plant.
In Nuclear Operations, promotion opportunities are regularly available but competitive and based on performance.

It's also important to note that specialized training received and work experience gained in the course of service can lead to valuable credentialing and occupational opportunities in related fields in the civilian sector.

The Lead Nuclear Engineer - SMR at Holtec International oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of critical technical and strategic objectives for the company's Small Modular Reactor (SMR) design. This role combines advanced nuclear engineering expertise with strong managerial and leadership responsibilities, driving the design and regulatory processes while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
Directly manage a multidisciplinary nuclear engineering team, overseeing day-to-day activities and long-term objectives including: nuclear core design, shielding, source term, and criticality analysis efforts for the SMR (SMR-300 modular reactor); preparation and review of technical documentation, topical reports, and Safety Analysis Report chapters; automation efforts for data processing and reactor simulations to enhance team productivity; and other related nuclear engineer and safety tasks.
Develop team priorities and allocate resources to ensure alignment with project schedules, budgets, and milestones.
Collaborate with internal departments such as deterministic safety analysis, operations, and instrumentation and control, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure successful project outcomes.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate team members, driving professional development and ensuring compliance with Holtec's quality assurance procedures.
Establish scopes of work and negotiate contracts with academic institutions, vendors, and subcontractors.
Validate and verify computational models and analyses using advanced simulation tools such as MCNP and CASMO/SIMULATE.

The Building Engineer is responsible for providing facilities and property maintenance to properties. This position involves the coordination, management and physical activity associated with the operation and maintenance of various building systems and building maintenance initiatives. The Building Engineer works closely with property managers to establish and maintain effective operating procedures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Oversees building maintenance projects.
Oversees and monitors the operation and makes adjustments of all mechanical systems including but not limited to refrigeration, heat exchangers, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems and hot water systems.
Monitors operation and adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment, boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, and filters, other mechanical and electrical equipment, record readings and makes adjustments where necessary to assure proper operation of equipment.
Analyzes the operation of various systems, determines the cause of any problems/ malfunctions and takes corrective action as required.
Performs preventative maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment, which includes but not limited to, assembling all tools, supplies and instruments necessary to complete the job, performs work with a minimum amount of disruption, conducts immediate clean-up of work area, completes the preventative task sheet, returns tools to workshop and unused supplies to store room, reports any impending supply or material shortages and any equipment problems.
Installs and repairs plumbing, piping, tubing, wire singles and three phase motors, run conduit, pull wiring to machinery, motors, operating parts, etc.
Installs and rebuilds pumps and motors, installs and rebuilds air compressors and heat exchangers, replaces seals on pumps, installs and repairs piping, valves, filters, hot water systems, and associated controls.
Installs, repairs, and maintains electrical controls, switching and motor controls.
Assists other engineers with repairs and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
Maintains building grounds and tenant suites, which may include tasks such as painting, changing light bulbs, replacing blinds and trash removal.
Coordinate building systems with construction projects (i.e. put fire panel on test, dumpster locations, building access, etc.)
Communicates with management, tenant service coordinator, and tenants regarding status of projects and ensures appropriate paperwork is completed.
Purchases appropriate supplies for projects.
Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, texts and emails as needed.
Assumes other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent.
5 years of experience building maintenance experience.
Valid state driver's license.
HVAC Certification strongly preferred.
May be required to obtain Low-Pressure Black Seal license.
Travel and overtime.
Capable of performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Good written and verbal communicator who works well and is at ease under pressure and with a diverse population.
Demonstrated ability to determine needs, distinguish between emergency and non-emergency situations and attain results.
