Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Operateheavy equipment (excavator, dozer, loader)in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
Efficiently be able to operate machines for earth moving, pipe installation & grading operations
Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation
Education, Experience & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with earthwork and civil construction
Willingness to learn and follow all safety policies and requirements
This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms and mechanical lifts
Must be able to understand English
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Will be required to join the local union
Travel:
Travel may be required for this position as the employee must be willing to travel to surrounding job sites. F&B will compensate a per diem for travel and overnight stay if applicable.
Work Environment:
As an Operator, you will be subject to various work environments. Environments include but are not limited to the following: high/low temperatures, areas close to traffic, loud and frequent noises, confined spaces, heights, indoor/outdoor settings.
