Overview of this Position:

Successful candidate performs routine semi-skilled work in the operation of motorized equipment related to street maintenance and construction; performs manual labor related to work assigned; Performs regularly scheduled standby duties including sewer, water, streets and storm related problems. Responds to unscheduled emergency work such as storms, ice and snow emergencies. Performs seasonal operations such as leaf collection, heavy trash pickup and snow removal.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the eighth grade and some experience in the operation of motorized equipment. Possession of valid driver's license with good driving record and CDL Class B license with tanker endorsement. Must work in adverse weather conditions. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays if inclement weather or other adverse conditions require the clearing or work on streets etc. Will be on call on a rotational basis for emergency work. Job Summary
Adhere to all operating, EH&S, and other applicable site and company procedures
Complete all regulatory training on schedule and demonstrate the proper level or competency. Comply with all applicable area safety rules and job procedures
Maintain Process Control of the Recovery and Waste Water Treatment operating areas by adjusting such parameters as flows, temperatures, pressures, levels, etc.
Have a working knowledge of the following systems: DCS, SAP, Sample Manger, Otis, LITMOS, WBLYC, and Intranet reports
Respond to alarms and take appropriate action
Prepare equipment for servicing by maintenance and contractors
Tighten flanges, Change sample valves, adjust valve packing as required
Install pipe fittings for water lines and connections.
Pull required samples for testing.
Perform and document Operational checks in logbooks and OP10. Monitor WTCS and take corrective action as needed.
Analyze data to identify and investigate problems and developing trends.
Perform all quality checks to ensure compliance with the State and local Agencies.
Qualifications (Required)
High school diploma/GED
1+ Years experience in an applicable manufacturing role (working with tanks, valves, piping, etc.)
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the operating area, including but not limited to safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection, respirator.
Must have one of the following:
A Class 3 Waste Treatment License or higher
OR
An associate's degree or higher in a technical field (i.e., Science, Engineering, Manufacturing)
The successful candidate will be required to obtain at least a Class 4 Waste Treatment License within one year of starting the role.
