Supporting production by monitoring processes, ordering inputs, loading materials, inspecting materials, and performing quality inspections to release product.
Operate automated production converting, molding, assembly, and packaging equipment.

Your Skills and Expertise

The Opportunity
We're now hiring a Night Shift Dry Packaging Machine Operator to operate and maintain the general operation of a line, to ensure continuous quality, efficiency, sanitation, and safety of that line. This position will report to the night shift supervisor and night shift assistant supervisor.
Essential Duties:
General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports
Communicate with Supervisor/Foreman on all production concerns
Communicate with Extruder Operators on product times and bin space
Starting and setting up all required equipment for production
Controlling packaging materials, code dates, expiration dates, stickers and any items unique to product specs
Controls product quality, packaging quality, contamination, weight controls and line efficiency
Will do general maintenance and repairs on equipment and assist maintenance personnel
Will perform all equipment adjustments and change overs and troubleshoot equipment when problems occur
Complete all daily reports in legible manner, special projects as assigned
Assist in controlling packaging from warehouse, assist in supervising all line workers required on line
Operator will assist other lines when needed, perform all other duties assigned, assist training of all line worker
Complete knowledge of bin, product distribution, product delivery and blending systems
Coordinate all record keeping and charting to include cleaning schedule, packaging yields and efficienc
Assist Supervisor and Foreman as needed to control packaging area

The Opportunity

General knowledge of daily extrusion and production reports
Communicate with Supervisor/Foreman on all production concerns

What you'll do as a Fabrication Machine Operator:
Strictly follow safety policies, procedures, rules and safe work methods, along with making safety suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety
Set up a variety of machines to cut, drill, punch and grind a variety of aluminum parts, preparing them for welding or as finished products
Work cooperatively with others to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets
Properly fill out work orders
Move parts to various areas as required
Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Contribute to a continuous improvement culture
What you need to be a Fabrication Machine Operator:
Forklift certification
Ability to read and follow blueprints
Ability to properly read and use a tape measure
Regular and reliable attendance
Knowledge of and ability to use drill press, tumblers, and benders

Operate Equipment Efficiently
o Operate and maintain saw equipment to support production schedules and fabrication needs. o Handle, move, and deliver material using forklifts or other material handling equipment.
o Accurately record part movement and material usage in the ERP system.
Produce Quality Parts
o Ensure cut parts meet dimensional and visual specifications.
o Identify and record issues in SharePoint to support corrective action workflows.
o Support team members by contributing to efficient and accurate fabrication processes.
Maintain Equipment and Safety
o Perform routine preventive maintenance on saw equipment and report issues promptly.
o Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
o Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.
