About the Role
The Potroom Operator (PCO) is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the routine functions of electrolytic pots in the aluminum smelting process. This includes changing anodes, tapping pots, moving materials, and operating overhead cranes to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor pot operations using visual inspections, millivolt readings, and process control computer systems.
Adjust pot voltage and current distribution to maintain optimal performance.
Tap pots using siphon, vacuum crucible, and siphon lid.

Job Description
Machine Operators (Nightshift) must be able to operate machines, read and understand production schedules, operate a forklift, & band loads. Must perform all TPM requirements as defined. Use 6S principles to organize work area and perform quality checks as required to meet Critical to Quality elements. Employee is required to wear any applicable personal protective equipment, work at a productive rate, maintain quality, and perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications
The ability to read measurements, work, or calculate numbers.
The ability to use handheld tools, including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic staple guns, industrial hot glue guns, and power drills.
Must be 18 years of age, have reliable transportation, and work overtime as needed.
Previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Previous experience in assembly or a production-oriented environment preferred.
Additionally, selected candidates will be evaluated for several production-related roles based on business needs. All positions are physically demanding in some way; however, some roles require:
The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50 lbs.; and
The ability to stand or walk up to an entire shift (up to 10-12 hours).

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitor and insure quality print including tape tests throughout production runs.
Compare and approve print quality is within specified limits of the tri-fold color range.
Calculate the number of parts needed to complete the order.
Number labels on each order in sequence, beginning where the prior shift ended. If the order uses a lot number, lot numbers change at 7am and numbering begins with one and continues in sequential order until the order is completed.
Place completed boxes on skids and individual parts in totes or on tray packs.
Place product of poor quality in a scrap box or tote. Place SCRAP labels on all scrap containers. Products made of like materials are placed in the same box.
Complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED equivalent is preferred.
Must have the ability to calculate part requirements.
Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 7 hours during an 8 hour shift
Minimal lifting capabilities of 30 lbs. at a minimal frequency of 20 times per hour
Visual acuity of at least 20/40 corrected vision for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 7-point font at 12 inches.
Ability to reach and lift 30 lbs. to shoulder height at a minimum of 10 times per hour.
Must be able to pass the Ishihara color vision exam
