The North America team is currently looking for a Machine Operator on 1 st shift to join our Taylorville, IL facility. The Machine Operator operates various fabrication and roll forming machines and fabricates material to specification, from job orders and document production data. The Operator must follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy of each product. They must inspect parts for any defects or inconsistencies and adjust as needed. The Operator must also monitor the machines to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. They must have a good understanding of the equipment and be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise. The Operator must be able to read and understand technical documents, follow safety guidelines, and maintain accurate records of production. Your Impact Set-up, adjust, program, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on fabrication and roll forming equipment. Fabricate material to specification, from job order and document production data at a level of output that minimizes production delays. Utilize quality checks to ensure all systems are set for correct operational sequencing and to meet product standards. Maintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards. Understanding of how to use measuring instruments (calipers, protractor, tape measure, steel ruler), read blueprints and operate hand grinder and other hand tools. Ability to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments and shifts. The Extruder Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate who is responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained. This includes operating all systems, performing all quality checks, maintaining conformance reports and system logs, and troubleshooting all aspects of each system : Batching - schedule, batch and assure accurate dispersion of the correct commodities, control hardstock grinding and amounts into each recipe that is delivered to the mixed meal system. Extrusion - extrude mixed meal and dry kibbles that meet all quality specifications and optimize plant capacity. Coating - coat and blend kibbles with tallow and digest into the finished product according to recipe requirements; coordinate with packaging and extrusion to optimize product stream and bunker inventory levels. Manage and set strategy for the five processing systems to ensure meeting or exceeding production schedule in the most efficient manner possible. The Packaging Operator will be responsible for the process packaging of chemical orders by coordinating the activities of the site planner, operations supervisor, and shipping department to ensure a high level of customer service. Your duties will include receiving material that has cleared final quality inspection, preparing the appropriate packaging container(s), and filling the prepared containers according to the required configuration. The Production Operator is responsible for supporting all areas of production involved with packaging dry food products according to customer and company specifications, packing, trucking, stacking, counting, wrapping, weighing, cleaning, and operating machinery on a rotating basis.
