Sets up, runs, and continuously monitors the 1 ¼” extrusion line for all products.
Observes, measures, and inspects products at various stages of the production process to ensure the product is being produced per proper set-up sheet specifications.
Accurately completes all documentation specific to this job function.
Cleans equipment to prevent contamination as required.
Recognizes various defects and problems that arise during production. Assists in solving problems or notifies supervisor if required. Completes non-conformity paperwork for all defects and problems in products.
Conducts all activities in accordance with safety procedures and guidelines.

The Operator Manufacturing III is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on assigned machines. * Performs necessary pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment to ensure proper equipment startup and operation
* Operates multiple pieces of equipment and monitors equipment during operation, performs setup and changeover, inspects parts and makes adjustments or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications and to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
* Performs scheduled quality assurance tests in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and communicates results with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

Perform sampling and testing of wheat and water and make appropriate adjustments to wheat cleaning and tempering equipment to meet specifications and standards set by the Shift Miller.
Assist with training of Mill Utility personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

What You'll Be Doing
* Monitor bottle indexing on conveyor systems through the filling process
* Monitor and document all Quality-related items (Hourly updates on production boards, Component verification to ensure correct product is produced, Bottle and label visual inspection for accurate packaging of product, verifying date code labeling correctness, Product verification, Weight checks on filled bottles)
* Strong communication skills regarding machine problems and quality requirements
* Ability to start and stop equipment and identify basic mechanical issues & adjust machine setups (Fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, case erectors, palletizers)
* Follow all safety requirements including using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment - PPE (safety glasses, required footwear, hearing protection, hand protection, correct lifting methods, etc.)
* Support all changeover requirements of commodity products (changing caps, line clearance, assisting mechanics with changeovers)
* Make tank switches and understand & execute the valve change process
What You'll Bring
* Minimum of high school degree or equivalent
* Minimum of 6 months' manufacturing experience
* Able to work scheduled overtime or shift changes when required
* Basic math skill set
* Able to lift 40 pounds periodically throughout the manufacturing shift and meet physical requirements of position including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, reaching with both hands/arms, ability to visually inspect product
* Mechanically inclined to perform minor machine corrections within job responsibilities
