    The **Patient Coordinator** is responsible for performing a variety of customer service and patient care tasks to ensure a positive patient experience. Ensures documentation and patient records are prepared and organized. Ensures patients have a clear understanding of what to expect during and after their appointment. **Specific duties include, but are not limited to:** + Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone. + Will perform patient registration in various systems. + Answers all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner. + May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility. + May be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization. Patient Assistance: + May perform preliminary screening of patients prior to procedures, which may include medical history. + May transport patient to/from the exam room. + May assist in patient transfer on/off the exam table. + May transport patient to/from the exam room. + May provide the patient with preliminary and post-procedure instructions. Work Area & Supply Preparation + In the mobile setting, may assist in preparing the unit for transport. + Will maintain a clean and organized work area. + May order supplies and ensure the work area is properly stocked.
