    The BBSI Payroll Specialist position is a key member of the business unit team that consults on a broad range of organizational and management areas. The primary objective of the Payroll Specialist is to process perfect and timely payrolls for around 60-80 clients with a variety of pay periods, pay cycles, and payroll complexities. Additionally, the Payroll Specialist will work closely with clients to understand their payroll and accounting systems and processes to help identify and recommend process improvements. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong business acumen and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to proactively and consistently deliver value to our clients and internal teams. This position reports to the Area Manager and works in partnership with other positions within the business unit, branch and corporate office. Duties and Responsibilities Run high volume perfect and timely on- and off-cycle payrolls (800+ employees) for multiple client companies Become an expert in new client onboarding, BBSI payroll, CRM (Salesforce), timekeeping and HRIS systems. Identify systems options to achieve better results for clients and BU members Perform on-site client payroll training, HRP web training and use of all feature functionalities relevant to client Become subject matter expert on client data including turnover, ongoing or seasonal headcount fluctuations, time & attendance, building payroll bridges, import & export requirements, prevailing wages, job costing, certified payroll, standard & custom reporting requirements of client companies Desired Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years of payroll experience - ideally in a multi-client, fast-paced, demanding environment Strong client service orientation and superb customer service skills Demonstrated experience in process improvement and streamlining - within prior role or department Experience as a bookkeeper or accountant desirable Must be self-driven to succeed and help drive success for our business owners Knowledge of wage and hour laws and taxability of wages. Exposure to workers' compensation claims management helpful. Effective communicator with individuals at all levels within an organization Professional appearance and demeanor; excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional time management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, with minimal supervision Systems experience including proficiency in MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word. The Phys Svc Payroll Specialist will focus on accuracy of clinician payment as well as client billing components for each configuration of contract requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES General understanding of the Ingenovis family of brands, the overall business model, understanding of the nuances of differentiation in the policies across those brands. Strong understanding of the Physician Services business model, both W-2 and 1099 worker pay requirements and familiarity with the overarching systems and verticals such as Emergency Medicine, Government, Hospitalist, Psych, Pediatrics, etc.. Understanding and knowledge of Bullhorn and BTE with ancillary understanding of Workday and DocuSign as well as PeopleSoft, eRecruit and/or Gold Mine for historical purposes depending on brand assignment. Position Overview The ObservePoint Finance department is looking for a Payroll Manager to help with payroll, commissions, accounts payable, and other related processes. This position will work directly with the Accounting Manager and Controller and will play an important role in maintaining consistent payroll and accounts payable processes. Principal Responsibilities • Maintain payroll system and personnel records • Enter timecards, commissions, bonuses and other details into semi-monthly payrolls • Calculate commissions and bonuses for monthly payroll • Remit payroll withholdings for taxes and file required tax forms • Update employee information and benefits as requested • Track and fund 401k and HSA withholdings • Track and reconcile monthly invoices for benefits • Track and reconcile COBRA benefits • Completing monthly reconciliations and analysis as requested • Helping with audits and compliance requests • Other accounting responsibilities as assigned • Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience • Experience with accounting software and related systems • Ability to work well with a team with varying responsibilities • Strong attention to details and analytical skills • Ability to multitask and switch context quickly without getting derailed • General understanding of variable compensation programs (i.e. commissions) • Ability to adapt and work in a growing and fast-paced environment • Excellent MS-Excel skills • Excellent MS-Word skills • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Consistency in meeting critical deadlines • Commitment to confidentiality and working with private and/or sensitive information Preferred • Bachelors degree in Accounting • Experience with Netsuite • Experience with UK payroll & regulations • Experience running payroll and HR systems • Understanding of current federal and state payroll laws
