Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS) & Certifications
Develop, implement, and maintain a robust ISO 9000/9001-compliant QMS, ensuring ongoing certification.

Manage internal and external audits; ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Enforces safety standards and standard operating procedures.
Assist in the management of an effective training program for the Wastewater Treatment Department.
Manage the operation and maintenance program of the wastewater treatment plant and make emergency repairs, as needed.
Supervise and manage the wastewater treatment lab and lab personnel.
Interprets laboratory results and makes recommendations to the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent for plant processes and process control adjustments to maintain compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit requirements.
Report all potential EPD violations to the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent for review.
Assist in planning capital projects and budget.
Assist in managing payroll of assigned personnel.
Assist in monitoring annual budgetary expenses.
Manage the “on-call” schedule and the scheduling of employees. Expected to fill-in and participate in the “on-call” schedule as needed.
Work overtime as deemed necessary by the Wastewater Treatment Superintendent.
Responsible for payroll, evaluations and positive disciplinary action for assigned employees.
Must be able to work Holidays, weekends and shift work as required.
Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a Class I State of Georgia Wastewater License
