Ensures adequate phlebotomy supplies are available and notifies Supervisor when necessary to order. Stocks supply deliveries. 16. Ensures adequate supply of clean linens and other housekeeping supplies. 17. Generates and reviews pending logs resolving issues as needed. Performs adequate handoff of information to incoming shift. 18. Maintains appropriate logs and required records. 19. Answers phones and take messages. 20. Assists in orientation and training of new employees. 21. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and department meetings. 22. Assists on special projects as needed. 23. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with hospital policies/procedures and HIPAA regulations. 24. Performs other duties as assigned. This may include rotation to other shifts including weekends and holidays for inpatient phlebotomists. Outpatient phlebotomists may be required to rotate to weekend shifts. 25.
