+ Plan and administer prescribed skilled physical therapy treatment and training for patients suffering from various injuries, illnesses and functional disabilities to attain highest level of physical function.
+ Test/screen the patient's physical strengths to assist the physician in evaluating the patient's level of function and records findings to develop or pursue treatment programs and establish measurable training objectives.
+ Develop/implement a conditioning/rehabilitation program consistent with physician's Plan of Treatment and the overall goals of the patient/rehab team. Adjust treatment as needed to achieve maximum results.
+ Confer with physician and clinical team members to obtain additional patient information and assist in developing, implementing and revising the therapy treatment program and Plan of Treatment.
+ Provide Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aide staff with written instructions/care plan that reflects current plan of care as related to therapy, supervise/evaluate staffs' performance. Monitor the appropriate completion of documentation by physical therapy assistants and home health aides/personal care workers as part of the supervisory/leadership responsibility.
+ Accurately, promptly and thoroughly document patients' care observations, interventions and evaluations. Assure that interim (verbal) orders received from the physician and physical therapist are promptly and accurately documented, submitted for physician signature and implemented

Basic Requirement for Physical Therapist:
Degree: A graduate (or higher level) degree that included a physical therapy curriculum approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a professional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained, and completion of the clinical requirements prescribed by the school.
Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physical Therapist from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and must have passed the National Physical Therapy Examination administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
Exemption: You are exempt from the basic requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0633 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) evaluating physical therapy patients and; 2) implementing pelvic floor physical therapy treatment. Under the guidance of KS' Medical Director as appropriate, administer medical care to injured student-athletes.
* Works closely with the team coaches to monitor the health of student-athletes.
* Supervises the Athletic training room facility. Maintains equipment and supplies and conducts training for student-athletes and coaches as needed.
* Counsels and advises athletes and coaches on prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment of specific injuries and on other matters that may be pertinent to student-athletes and coaches.

* Travels with teams for State Tournaments; other pre-season tournaments on neighbor islands or out of state; neighbor island travel for HHSAA State Tournaments.

Minimum Qualifications - An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the requirements listed.
