The Opportunity:

What you'll be working on:
Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups
Continuous learning during weekly Clinical Rounds and through other modalities
Ongoing collaboration with both virtual and in-office teammates via daily huddles
Utilization of your specific clinical training and opportunities to give exceptional care to patients virtually
Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role:
Completed an accredited PA program with a national certification
In the past 5 years, practiced as an Advanced Practitioner for at least:
2 years in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages (0+), OR 2 years in an urgent care or emergency medicine setting seeing patients of all ages (0+)
Currently licensed in DC with ability to obtain additional state licenses
Ability to work weekday and weekend shifts (every Saturday or Sunday required)
Current shifts range from (6am-5pm EST, 7am-6pm EST, 8am-7pm EST, 11am-10pm EST, 1pm-12am EST)
Excellent clinical and communication skills

The base hourly range for this role is $59.10 to $65.50 per hour (plus evening and weekend differential) based on a full-time schedule. Primary Responsibilities:
Operating Room/Perioperative Care
Serve as bedside first assist during robotic urologic oncology procedures (typically 6-7 days per month), performing duties such as, but not limited to, managing suction, retraction, and dynamic instrument manipulation through an assistant port.
Participate in pre- and postoperative patient management, including rounding on inpatients with postoperative complications and coordinating discharges.
Collaborate and train RN Navigator to conduct next-day recovery outreach for recently discharged surgical patients, addressing postoperative questions and concerns.
Assist in streamlining the transition of postoperative care toward an outpatient-focused model to reduce inpatient rounding demands.
Outpatient / Clinic Responsibilities
Conduct clinic sessions up to four days per week, evaluating general urology and postoperative patients.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and other oncology-related hospital committees to ensure coordinated patient management.
Serve as a liaison between surgical and office teams to ensure timely communication and continuity of care for Urologic Oncology patients.

University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or a PhysicianAssistant (PA) with a desire to join our multidisciplinary team in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The Children's Hospital at UMMC is a comprehensive division within our hospital that offers service to patients across the spectrum of acute care. Our Children's Hospital is comprised of a pediatric ED, pediatric cardiac ICU, pediatric ICU & progressive care unit, a complex labor and delivery unit, a compliment of ambulatory care services, and a 37,00 square foot, 52-bed NICU. UMMC's clinicians offer the critically ill neonatal patients of Maryland ‘Top of the Class' Academic Medicine.
The APP (Advanced Practice Provider) will be involved in providing highly intensive care to the most critically ill babies in the state. Our facility offers a 37,000 square feet Level IV NICU, a specialized transport team, state of the art technologies in our delivery rooms and world class high-risk OB, Neonatology and Subspeciality teams. In addition, we enjoy an interactive relationship with the University of Maryland School of Nursing. The APP Team at UMMC, provides 24/7 coverage for the patients in the NICU. The APP is responsible for daily patient management, leadership, and resource support for the provider team, and is an educational resource for nursing, medical staff and families. Medical plans and decisions are made in collaboration with attending physicians in a manner that utilizes evidence-based interventions and, current best practice, while providing support and education for all team members. The APP and Neonatal fellow are expected to function in tandem with collaborative roles supporting the patients within the division of neonatology. Additionally, the role of the Neonatal APP has expanded to provide coverage for the neonatal transport team through the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program (MRNTP).
In addition to clinical responsibilities, all APPs participate in professional practice activities at varying levels. Schedule accommodations will be made and negotiated as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or PhysicianAssistant (PA) program and successfully completed NNP/PA Certification.
NCC (National Certification Corporation) for NNPs is required.
NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of PhysicianAssistants) for PAs is required.

4. Qualifications
Educational Credentials: Graduation from an ARC-PA accredited PhysicianAssistant educational program or LCME or AOA accredited medical school. For PAs: Possession of Master's degree is a minimum requirement; Doctorate Degree is preferred.
Certification & Licensure : For PAs : Current NCCPA Certification is required. Maryland licensure, or eligibility for licensure, is highly desired for PAs. For Physicians : Current and valid Maryland licensure is required for Physicians. In addition, board certification by an ABMS- or AOA-approved specialty board is also required.
Experience: A minimum of three years of clinical practice experience as a PA or Physician is required. Experience in provding instruction within a PA education program or medical school, and/or precepting PA or medical students is highly desirable.
Skills/Aptitude: The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to balance multiple deadlines and needs simultaneously; demonstrated respect for diversity/equity/inclusion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs will be essential for success in the Clinical Director role.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Some overtime may be required. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm excluding holidays or weekends. There are some meetings that begin at 7:30 am - generally not more than once every two-three months.

Principal Responsibilities and Tasks

Provide for and maintain full and complete records of all services performed for patients in accordance with established standards.
Promote the written goals and objectives of UM Charles Regional.
Participate in any and all quality assurance programs as assigned.
Supervise the administrative responsibilities of all non-physician employees with whom Physician works.
Assure compliance with applicable Charles Regional policies and procedures, including but not limited to personnel actions, payroll practices, orientation and training, charity care, accounts payable, coding, billing and claims processing.
Assure compliance with local, state and federal guidelines such as OSHA, CLIA and wage and labor regulations.
Participate in the development of and performance to meet budgets including review of expenses and ongoing budget reconciliation.
Apply and foster personal tact and diplomacy.
Demonstrate a courteous attitude and promote good patient relations and a positive image.
Participate in practice and group development activities such as community speaking, volunteerism and service to increase Physician visibility.
Cooperate with administration to adjust Physician's business approach when appropriate, such as altered or varied practice style and scheduling changes, in order to improve productivity and/or patient satisfaction.
Participate in disease management programs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of care.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.
Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within practicing specialty required.
Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
2 plus years of experience as an Orthopedic MD.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels hospital staff, patients, visitors, and levels of staff.

Under the direction and supervision of the Lead PhysicianAssistant / Nurse Practitioner (APP), the Cardiac Surgery APP will perform all required clinical duties, including patient evaluation and management in the preoperative, postoperative, and outpatient settings as well as performing ICU bedside procedures (e.g. arterial line and central line insertion), endovascular vein harvesting, and first assisting cardiac surgical procedures (e.g. CABG, valve surgery, aorta surgery). .

Compares and contrasts clinical findings, normal and abnormal variations in formulating a diagnosis.

Cares directly for clients and helps manage complex patients. Promotes patient engagement by explaining treatment plan, identifying and addressing any expected obstacles.
Participates in the quality and patient satisfaction review process, incorporating feedback into improvement plans and associated quality forums. Uses quality data to enhance effectiveness of care delivery.
Uses current health care research findings and other evidence to expand clinical knowledge, and enhance role performance and increase knowledge of professional issues
Participates in group call duties, including night and weekend coverage.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Graduate of accredited PhysicianAssistant School or graduate of an accredited school of nursing as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
Six (6) years of related Cardiac Surgery clinical experience as a PA or ACNP.
Required License/Certifications:
Current License as a PhysicianAssistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
