Description:
Full-time permanent position - Urology
Monday-Friday schedule
Mix of outpatient and inpatient duties
Pre-op and post-op visits, new and existing patients, perform in-office procedures
Provide care for same-day urgent patients
Perform specialized urology procedures such as catheter irrigation, catheter placement, evaluation of drains, InterStim (bladder acupuncture), urodynamics, pelvic floor physical therapy (training provided)
Assist in robotic surgery (if interested)
Hospital consults, rounds and discharges
Perform inpatient procedures
Light call schedule shared among all providers
Qualifications:
VirginiaPhysicianAssistant or Nurse Practitioner License
Experience working in urology or other relevant specialty
Recent graduate with relevant clinical rotations
Proficiency in Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities:
About the Role
During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member's current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. This provides unmatched insight into a member's overall health and well-being that can be difficult to capture during routine office visits. The Matrix Comprehensive Health Assessment (CHA) helps to improve quality of care and allows us to potentially close multiple care gaps with a single visit. Our providers:
Conduct adult / geriatric assessments to include medical history, diagnosis and treatment, health education, physician referrals, case management referrals, follow-up and clear documentation according to Matrix guidelines and protocols
Administer and order point of care and lab-based testing as needed
Work with physicians, case managers, social workers, family members, key caregivers, and ancillary medical personnel as appropriate
Collaborate with Primary Care Physician (PCP) on patient education and follow up as necessary
Provide services at the member's place of residence which can be in their homes or Skilled Nursing Facilities

Flexibility
- Visits are scheduled based on YOUR availability. We conduct assessments Sunday - Saturday from 8 am - 7 pm. You can work during the day, evening, and/or weekend based on your schedule.
Competitive Pay
- Earn income based on the number of assessments you complete. Increase your earning potential by offering greater availability and traveling to see members outside your home location. Those completing a monthly average of 20 - 100 visits
earn $1,800 - $11,500
per month. This is based on the per assessment completion rate range of
$90 - $115
depending on your state of residence.

Qualifications:
Skills & Experience That Shine
Master's Degree OR commensurate experience and satisfactory completion of NP or PA licensure
Current NP or PA licensure in state of practice to include prescription authority or the ability to obtain prescriptive authority
Board certified by the NCCPA, AANP, ANCC or the AACCN in Adult, Adult Gerontology Primary Care, Adult Gerontology Acute Care, Family, Emergency, or Acute Care specialty
Current BLS, ACLS or CPR certification
1 year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant preferred, new grads encouraged to apply!
Valid state driver's license and proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage for the state of residence
Strong computer skills and familiarity with employee health/medical record software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

What You Bring:
Graduate of an accredited PhysicianAssistant program.
Current state PA licensure and NCCPA certification required.
Current BLS certification required.
3+ years of clinical experience preferred; Women's Health/REI experience strongly preferred.

The NICU Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for pre-rounding, presentation, and plan of care for 8-10 patients on days and up to 25 on nights. An experienced NICU APP should have level 4 and at a minimum level 3 experience and be proficient in intubations, lumbar puncture, umbilical line placements, peripheral arterial line placements, and chest thoracentesis. Training will be given to provide experience in chest tube placements and Neo PICC line placements.
We offer flexible scheduling options including 12-hour day shifts, 12-hour night shifts, and 24-hour shifts. The team self-schedules and then rebalances as a team to meet the needs of the unit. APPs work either full-time, 80 hours/pay period, or part-time 72 hours/pay period.
Weekend requirements are 4-5 weekend shifts over a 6-week scheduling period. Weekend shifts include Friday nights, Saturday nights, Sunday nights, Saturday days, or Sunday days. 24-hour shifts count as 2 shifts when considering weekend requirements.
There are no on-call requirements. When NICU APP or Newborn APP staffing is in vacancy status, there are opportunities to work additional shifts for critical staffing pay.
