ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of clients by means of interview, health history, physical examination, and diagnostic studies.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
Education / Training:
* Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in Physician Assistant studies
Work Experience:
* 1 to 3 years' experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ambulatory clinical setting, preferred.
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
* State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a part-time Psychiatric Physician Assistant for our Behavioral Health Urgent Care who will work the night shift once the program moves to a 24-hour operation.
Currently, this position will work within current programming hours, including rotating weekends and holidays.
The current program hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., and weekend hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
When the program moves to 24-hour operation, all shifts will be 12-hour shifts, 8:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m., including rotating weekends and holidays.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer or designee, performs evaluations, diagnoses, ongoing assessments, and treatment of individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and/or developmental disabilities. Identifies client needs, makes treatment plans and referrals, and provides medication management and psycho-educational support in collaboration with existing medical staff and program; performs related work as required.
