Position Summary:
The Associate Scientist supports programs focused on long term product development, future technologies and innovations, and translates opportunities into products for implementation. This role develops and conducts the research investigation plan, directs in-depth analyses and integrates the data to present a comprehensive picture and recommended actions. This position will assist in the development and implementation of new methods to address specific product, process, and consumer issues. The Associate Scientist will also work with implementation teams, as appropriate, to support quality execution to market.
This position will be onsite at our Ormond Beach, FL sunscreen manufacturing facility
Accountabilities:
Support ideation and the development of new products and technologies to help fill longer-term opportunities within the portfolio of current products, adjacencies, or white spaces considered suitable for expansion by the business.
Ensure timely execution of assigned programs within resource limits (project timelines, budgets, etc.) by collaborating closely with key functional partners.
Support the design and execution of assigned research investigations using sound, robust scientific method guidelines.
Help design a robust research study that is objective driven and meets the needs of the project team using appropriate documentation practices of any pertinent records and data.
Present research study and investigation (ideation, technical research, prototype, development etc.) in a timely manner to R&D leadership that is coherent and accurately reflects the results.
Participate in cross functional and project teams, as assigned by supervisor, by providing technical knowledge of core area of expertise.
Work with cross-functional team members on execution of assigned projects & timely communication within and across function to ensure visibility to program status.
Manage key external relationships such as vendors/consultants on assigned projects and budgets associated with them.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Science related fields

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.

We are a materials science company creating cutting-edge products for
aerospace, defense, and energy, seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Propellant
will have expertise in chemistry and an extensive background in solid propellant formulation,

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will be responsible for providing field-based assistance for the Long-Term Monitoring Team. The duties include but not limited to:
Statewide sampling of freshwater fish using electrofishing, gillnets, trawl, push nets, and fyke nets. Statewide mapping of aquatic vegetation and bottom structure via boat-mounted sonar and intercept samples. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain gear, vehicles and vessels used in daily sampling. Record biological data on freshwater fish and plant samples. Collect and process fish ageing structures and interpret growth rings for fish ageing studies. Record, enter, and proof data into a database. Prepare written reports. Utilize mapping software to develop sample sites and maps. Ensure timesheets, receipts, and travel forms are submitted in a timely manner. Participate in professional meetings, continuing education workshops, seminars, publishing scientific manuscripts and public outreach events as directed. Effectively communicate with team and leadership on a regular basis about work progress, scheduling, any issues that arise, etc..
