Our headquarters in Lancaster, Ohio is currently seeking an Intern/Co-op to join our Lancaster Operations team out of the Lancaster, Ohio facility. The internship will provide an educational, hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in engineering under the guidance of the Operations Technologies & Design Engineering Manager. Duties * Designing software using various languages, frameworks, and technologies * Adding features to existing software packages, typically in C# or VB.NET * Working to update application documentation * Helping setup computers and check out systems * Working with other engineers as required to determine software requirements * Testing software changes * Helping to specify and evaluate software to be purchased * Layout, specify, implement, and test networks for controls products Preferred Education Experience, Knowledge, and Skills * Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year program, working towards a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related major * Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferred * Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications * Proficiency in at least one Object Oriented language is preferred Skills Required * Capacity to handle confidential information * Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills * Ability to follow instructions and work independently with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Positive attitude and willingness to learn * Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
