Your Opportunity
As a Senior Process Engineer, Water you will serve as a senior technical lead on projects with our Water and Wastewater Technology Practice. You will partner with business development personnel to position and shape projects as well as develop technical approaches for proposals and present technical information to clients in interviews. This role will be focused on winning and delivering work in the North Central Region with an Ohio focus. The Senior Process Engineer will provide technical support to Regional Delivery Leaders and engage as needed in executing and delivering projects within the region. The scope of this execution work will vary by project, but the focus will be on water and wastewater treatment including pilot studies, odor control, PFAS, biosolids, conventional activated sludge process, and promotion of best practices and standards for process design and major process mechanical systems, and QA/QC for design criteria.
Your Key Responsibilities
- As a process expert, you provide t echnical leadership on water and wastewater projects, wastewater treatment; primary, secondary, tertiary and biosolids processes, water treatment, advanced wastewater treatment processes including membrane filtration and membrane bioreactors, side stream nutrient removal, and emerging technologies as applicable odor control and residuals handling processes, and industrial wastewater treatment.
- You provide technical support to client account managers and Regional Leaders in the identification, positioning and pursuit of strategic clients promoting strategic project opportunities.
- You have strong technical skills, project delivery, and leadership experience to a complex array of multi-disciplinary planning, design and construction projects for municipal water and wastewater systems including process engineering, treatment facilities planning and design, and related infrastructure.
- You perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations and prepare detailed design drawings and specifications.
- You'll interact with clients, Stantec staff, permitting agencies and other consulting firms in the execution of engineering projects.
- You engage in active mentorship of peers and young professionals who desire guidance on career development objectives.
- The Senior Process Engineer will engage in active membership in state, regional and national professional associations including, Water Environment Federation, International Water Association, Water Reuse Association, and others as appropriate. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate quality concerns reported in customer facility to Stoneridge plant through Quality Engineer
Review with customer any NCPs generated since last time being in Chillicothe plant
Ensure effective control of rejected material to prevent any customer complaint or rejected material in customer facility
Verify and maintain testing equipment in good condition to test product
Report official quality concerns to Stoneridge Quality Engineer for problem and containment support
Perform containment activities at site when required
Create detailed reports of quality issues detected at site
Inspect, analyze and repair rejected units (if applicable) at customer facility
Responsible for correct execution of Process Deviation in customer facilities and verify conditions of product handling by customer
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or other engineering discipline), or at least 5 years of experience as Quality or Electronic Technician
Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality assurance, quality control, supplier quality and/or quality liaison role within an automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing facility
Problem-Solving Methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone Diagram)
Basic knowledge of factory processes (automotive preferably)
Experience working under pressure
Experience with companies that have personnel of diverse backgrounds
English language skills, verbal and written
