Your part in our story:
5-Gallon Production Operators tend machines such as fillers, cappers, palletizers, etc. used for bottling water. They will operate manufacturing equipment in an efficient and safe manner while ensuring package and product quality.
Will perform basic machine operations to include; unloading bottles, performing quality inspections and minor machine adjustments.
Monitors the flow of outgoing finished goods and correct any disturbance in the flow of those goods.
Cleans equipment and line continually throughout the shift and maintains a clean work area.
Expedites repairs to the line; working with maintenance as necessary.
Keeps daily records of down time and machine operations.
Drives forklift for line occasionally (must have experience).
Must follow all established Good Manufacturing Practices.
Work 5am-5:10pm on a 2-2-3 rotation, including every other weekend

Perrigo Nutritionals, located in Eau Claire, WI is currently looking for highly motivated Production Operators who will work the Nights Shift (6pm - 6am ET) on a biweekly repeating 2/2/3 schedule (i.e. Week A: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat; Week B: Sun, Wed, Thurs).
This is a full-time, non-exempt, unionized position with a minimum starting pay rate of $27.00 per hour + a $2.00 shift premium. Scope of the Role
At Perrigo, basic duties and responsibilities for a Production Operator can include operating various pieces of production equipment; monitoring production processes and line operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the plant safety rules (LOTO procedures, PPE, etc.) report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately.
Follow factory safety & environmental objectives & targets.
Follow factory food safety, quality objectives & targets.
Follow Perrigo Good Manufacturing Practices; report food safety and quality issues immediately.
Maintain compliance with regulations and refer to Perrigo Quality Management System on all related procedures and programs.
Understand the food safety and quality aspects of the position as indicated in the Quality Management System, on-the-job training, and standard operating procedures that apply.
Understand and apply the principles of continuous improvement in the work area.

The Role
You will operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films. Working in a collaborative environment, you'll monitor production quality, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in our comprehensive training program while contributing to sustainable packaging solutions that make a real difference.
Schedule: Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule
Work: Monday & Tuesday - Off: Wednesday & Thursday - Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
Off: Monday & Tuesday - Work: Wednesday & Thursday - Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm - 6:00am) (Days - 6:00am - 6:00pm)
What You'll Do
Performs duties in a manner that adheres to safety policies and procedures.
Participate in the training curriculum as an operator learning aspects of plastic extrusion line operations while completing assigned duties required for certification
Change plastic extruding machine, set up according to production line changes following specifications on work orders, and examine products for nonconformance to specifications
Responsible for monitoring quality and accuracy of the line and scrap
Perform housekeeping and preventative maintenance tasks as required to maintain equipment
Set up plastic extrusion machines (shut-down, start-up, switchovers, order preparation, and production, of plastic extrusion lines).
Responsible for raw materials (resin) by keeping extruder fed with resin mixture
Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers
Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed

Essential Qualifications:
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and lift up to 65 pounds
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with measuring tools
Strong communication skills and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and adapt in a technical environment
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of plastic extrusion experience
Basic computer knowledge
Previous manufacturing experience
Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary:
Wages ranging from $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential.

Position: Machine Operator - Production Operator
Shifts Available:
·Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
·Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
(Rotating schedule - work just 14 days a month!)
Key Responsibilities:
Operate plastic injection molding and extrusion machines in a clean-room environment to produce medical device components.
Assemble small to medium-sized precision plastic parts with high attention to detail.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with strict medical standards.
Monitor machine performance and perform basic troubleshooting or adjustments as needed.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and cleanliness standards at all times.
Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, materials used, and any quality issues.
Work collaboratively with production team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in plastics or medical device manufacturing is a plus, but not required - we provide full training!
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
