Ensure proper coverage of all production while also managing team PTO, trainings, absences, and other events impactful to staffing.

Lead and/or support all investigations, manufacturing exceptions, product failures, Root Cause Analyses, and customer complaints at the appropriate level with complete and comprehensive detail.
Author, approve, and/or review all area quality and safety exceptions and investigation reports. Ensure on time completion of all corrective action items assigned to area.
Manage the department's overtime and ensure that all payroll exception reports are completed and submitted on time.
Measure and communicate team's progress against individual, team, site goals, and KPIs.
Spend 70% of your time on the production floor directly with employees and processes.
Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, DEA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
Ensure all direct reports are properly trained in areas directly related to their job responsibilities as well as company policies, quality policies, and safety/environmental policies.
Conduct Production Team meetings as well as 1-on-1 coaching sessions with employees in the department.
Requirements/Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field required. Work experience considered in lieu of degree.
Ten or more years of relevant work experience required, including experience in a cGMP environment required, preferably in manufacturing.
Two or more years of supervisory experience is required.
Lean/Kaizen/Six Sigma experience preferred.
Experience working with High Performance Teams.
Coaching & Implementing Autonomous Maintenance activities.
Experience with developing/documenting procedures required.
Aseptic and/or terminal sterilization processing experience.
Prior experience leading projects and/or being a core team member.

Responsibilities
Operate & maintain Beck's farm equipment as directed by the Production Farm Operations Lead or its designee.
Assist Shop Foreman in repairs & maintenance of equipment.
Maintain equipment assigned to operate according to suggested service intervals.
Keep accurate record of operations performed (work completed).
This also applies to repair & maintenance of equipment.
Perform other production/processing/dock/delivery functions as may be required by the Production Farm Operations Lead.

Education and training:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Technician at our Tipton IN site.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.
What You'll Do:
Participate in harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, etc.
Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field and warehouse operations that evolve with each season throughout the year.
Operate a variety of production machines and equipment.
Assist with product return and sorting activities.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality processes and procedures.
Perform warehouse activities such as forklift operation, collecting samples, pooling.
Various other duties as assigned.
Education:
You have your High School Diploma/GED OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within a specified time frame of hire as a condition of employment.
What Skills You Need:
You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: Climb and/or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, lift up to fifty (50) lbs., and perform work that involves repetitive motion and lifting.
You have experience and proven proficiency in computer systems and programs including (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and tend to pick up quickly on new software.
You have a high level of organization and attention to detail in your work.
You have logical problem-solving skills, and decision-making ability.
You have a valid US Driver's License.
You value working as a team, are proactive, communicate concerns, and are accepting of change.
You possess good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
You value safety and always take care to follow safety rules and procedures.
You are flexible and able to work shift work, overtime hours including nights and weekends during seasonal peaks to support production demand.
What Makes You Stand Out:
Knowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work.
General knowledge and/or experience with field and/or agriculture and agriculture equipment (plows, tractor, forklift, etc.).
