GENERAL SUMMARY
Entry level production worker duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand written customer specifications and mill flour to meet customer specifications.
Safe and efficient operation of all transferring equipment and systems.
Sample and analyze milled flour.
Analyze flour with lab instruments. Safely operate lab analytical instruments.
Lockout, open, unstack, repair, and restack sifters.
Measure levels of flour and feed in storage bins with tape measure.
Responsible for sanitation efforts such as recording sanitation duties, performing sanitation duties, and completing work orders assigned to them.
Interact with scheduler, elevator, blender, quality team, maintenance, and packer to communicate workflow, milling schedule, and equipment issues.
Monitor flour additives, ingredients, and other supplies.
Required to assist with the upkeep and quality of bins and silos.
Responsible for consistently conducting visual inspections of the FPZ transfer sifter.
Set up and monitor finished package weights to ensure that bags conform to specifications.
Set up the packer scale weights prior to a run.
Check the precision of the check scale prior to the start of the run.
Continually check the finished package weights throughout the run.
Ensure that the finished product is bagged, sealed, and palletized in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion on structurally sound pallets.
Pull samples of product, both prior to packaging, and throughout the run, and run analysis on samples on equipment located in mill control room.
Perform the metal detector checks on a scheduled basis set by the quality department and notify supervisor of any substandard conditions.
Pull samples prior to the run (or at the startup of packaging) to help ensure conformity to specifications.
Samples pulled during a run will normally be one sample per grade, once conformity is verified.
For government contracts, one sample will be taken per pallet, for weight and lab testing.
Keep bags available and ready to be used, including bags labeled for special customers.
Attach labels to bags as necessary.
Clean and sanitize all packing and loading areas (including hopper area above packers).
Feed any product that did not meet specifications back into the system to rework.
Assist in the training of new and existing personnel in any packaging functions/positions.
Qualifications

You will produce Bioprocess Containers in a cleanroom environment. A Day in the Life:
Work in a production environment, manufacturing and operating machinery, assembling tubing and connectors, packaging and inspecting products according to blueprints and drawings.
Use various tools and equipment, including computers, calculators, measuring tools, assembly hand tools, Bioprocess Container machinery, and pallet jacks.
Follow safety and cGMP requirements.
Pay strong attention to detail, collaborating with upstream and downstream stations to ensure product quality.
Maintain accurate documentation in Production Control Documents (PCD).
Participate in improvement activities, including 5S.
Work effectively as part of a team, assisting with training and mentoring.
Focus on personal development through timely completion of training.

Education:

* Establish employee schedule and coordinate work of productionassociates to achieve plant goals/metrics
* Continually train, coach, and supervise new and existing employees
* Utilize performance measurement systems to provide feedback to direct reports in areas of productivity, cost, quality, food safety, and employee safety
* Hold employees accountable for attendance, job expectations, GMPs, productivity metrics, and SOP compliance
* Operate within the Production labor budget; report on direct labor, production efficiencies, quality, and safety
* Manage equipment downtime according to issue, saving as much product as possible
* Participate in pre-operation audits and ensure deficiencies noted during the audit are addressed
* Maintain safe working conditions
* Work with Human Resources regarding personnel and performance issues
* Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)
* Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
* 2-5 years of leadership experience in production, preferably in the food industry, or manufacturing experience required
* SQF, BRC, or AIB certification knowledge desired
* Strong computer skills including experience with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
* Strong leadership and team-building skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
* Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
* Self-directed with the ability to work without close supervision

Responsibilities
• Operate spray drying equipment efficiently and safely
• Monitor product output and adjust machine settings to ensure consistent quality
• Replace or clean machine components such as cores and orifices as needed
• Take accurate readings of moisture levels, machine performance, and batch data
• Conduct quality checks on product texture, color, and moisture content
• Ensure proper product flow from blender to drying unit
• Follow packaging guidelines and prepare products for final handling
• Clean and maintain equipment and surrounding work areas
• Report product inconsistencies or machine malfunctions promptly
• Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols, including respirator use when applicable
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience required (food or supplement industry preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently and move containers up to 200 lbs
• Strong attention to detail with solid reading and math skills

The Role:
As a crucial part of our operations, you will be responsible for setting up and operating automatic or manual production machines, cutting sheet metal, and operating an annealing/brazing furnace, tower, or bending equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
Your Responsibilities:
* Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
* Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto the machine using a rule, square, shims, templates, hand tools, and built-in gauges.
* Positions and clamps stop, guides, and turntables; adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
* Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on the workpieces, using instruments, such as rules and compass, or tracing from templates.
* Positions work piece against stops and guides or align layout marks with dies or cutting blades.
* Starts machine and observes operation to reposition workpiece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes; inspects or measures work using rules, gauges, and templates.
* Pushes buttons on the control panel to start and activate automatic cycles of production machines.
* Observe machine operations, material supplies, and the position of workpieces to detect malfunctions, needed supplies, or misaligned parts.
* Performs routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM.
* Works individually and as a team to develop and implement quality and efficiency improvements.
* Conducts tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance; examines products or work to verify conformance to specifications.
* May be required to cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the department working at different workstations as production needs require.
* Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships; training and teaching others.
* Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
* Support and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with production processes, machines, and/or tools.
* Proven working experience: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions, and decimals.
* Experience using various measuring devices to meet drawing dimensions and specifications.
* Experience reading and interpreting documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
* Work requires continual attention to detail in follow through, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
