Child & Family Focus, Inc. (CFF) are seeking Independent Contractors to work as part-time Prevention Program Facilitators for the Drug & Alcohol Prevention Program in Delaware County, PA. CFF’s comprehensive prevention programming will focus on the prevention needs of children, youth, young adults and their family members. Programming is specifically focused on family education programming including LifeSkills Education for Middle School, Alcohol Literacy Challenge, Strong African American Families, Strengthening Families Program 10-14, and Familias Fuertes, and other programming as assigned. Prevention programming is evidence-based and targets protective factors including healthy communication, effective coping skills, and positive interpersonal relationships.
The Independent Contractor Prevention Specialist will:
- Have some flexibility to choose when and where to deliver evidenced-based prevention programs including but not limited to LifeSkills Education for Parents, Alcohol Literacy Challenge, Strong African American Families, Strengthening Families Program 10-14, and Familias Fuertes to participants in school, community, and office-based settings. This includes some remote services via online platforms (e.g., Zoom). Login and provide services when it is convenient for you. Set your own schedule to work around your life.
- Have some flexibility to choose where and when to participate in health and resource fairs, coalition meetings, and other events in the community with the goal of disseminating information about prevention and contributing to the reduction or elimination of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) use among young people.
- Partake in required training(s) as assigned by the Prevention and Education Program Supervisor in Delaware County, PA and in accordance with requirements set by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
- Maintain communication and collaboration with Prevention Program team members and leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Efficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Psychology, Human Development, or Family Studies field
- Valid driver’s license and car
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Work Schedule:
- Services are mostly remote via online platforms, but in-person services will be available once they return.
- Varied, flexible work schedule based on your availability. Evening and weekends may be available also based on caseload and/or training.
- If interest in program implementation in-person, local travel in your own vehicle to offsite locations as required by caseload or training requirements. Travel is currently limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate of $22 if untrained & $25 if/when trained
- Set your own schedule to work around your life
- 5-15 hours a week as scheduled per project
