What You Need to Succeed * Academic Status: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, pursuing a major in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline. * Graduation Date: Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027. * Technical Proficiency (Automation): Demonstrated experience or coursework in process automation, including proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or VBA for Excel automation). * Technical Proficiency (Excel Modeling): Proven ability to design and build robust, complex financial or data models in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and scenario analysis). * Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate business needs into technical requirements for modeling and automation. This Summer Internship will appeal to proactive and self-motivated college juniors/seniors with a genuine desire to learn about the energy business and industry. During the internship, candidates will work on real projects and have real responsibilities. NRG aims to help candidates build strengths and gain skills that can be transferred to any workplace and help them stand out from the crowd. Ideal Candidate The Competition Coordinator will support the planning, execution, and tracking of Vivint's sales competitions and incentives. This role will work closely with the Competition & Incentive Manager to ensure all competitions are run seamlessly-covering everything from rule creation and score tracking to prize fulfillment and communication. Key Responsibilities: Competition Planning & Execution Assist in creating competition calendars, timelines, and deliverables. Support development of competition rules, eligibility guidelines, and scoring structures. Coordinate with BI, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate scoreboard updates. Ensure clear and timely communication of competition details to sales teams and leadership. Tracking & Data Management Monitor competition performance, participant activity, and results. Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies in scores or eligibility. Compile reports and performance recaps for leadership. Prize Fulfillment & Logistics Assist with Prize Pick-Up events and other incentive distribution initiatives. Maintain organized inventory of prizes and promotional items. Communication & Engagement Draft engaging competition announcements, updates, and end-of-round communications. Support Q&A management for sales reps regarding rules, standings, and prize eligibility. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline competition operations. Provide feedback to enhance fairness, excitement, and rep engagement. Document best practices and maintain competition process guides. Qualifications & Skills Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, experience with Airtable and keynote, BI tools bonus Positive, collaborative attitude with a focus on problem-solving.
