Job Description/Preferred Qualifications From the data solution perspective, we are looking for a solution to analyze reliability impact with automation and at scale. There will be constraints to the data characterization, like limited data available. Ultimately, we are trying to improve the actuarial function into existing infrastructure, and enhance current forecasting technology. Here are several requirements for the position. * Leverage current data capability that was developed in-house, and devise a data solution to characterize the tail which compromises very limited information of reliability data. * Solution can be used at scale to provide quick assessment for users * Translate appropriately to characterize the problem with an actuarial perspective. Recommend infrastructure change needed to further improve the solution's accuracy. * By the end of the internship, be able to present the finding and offer proposals to the company on next steps. Minimum Qualifications * Solid understanding of actuarial and probability function, and/or reliability data. * Data Science Major or Engineering Major with * Language: Python/Query/R at the very least * Experience with PBI, AWS, Query, and its equivalent counterparts. * Familiar with AI/ML infrastructure and demonstrate capability to apply/refine such for the project. * Preferred: Master in Data Science and Bachelor in Hardware Engineering (or vice versa). This enables understanding of the engineering design aspect in addition to the data science approach.
