Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and manage construction projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities:

**Job Description**
+ High working knowledge of international import/export operations and must be able to effectively troubleshoot any issues that may arise in international trade and transportation.
+ Responsible for customs and trade operations support in United States and International locations

+ Partner with the legal team to understand the regulatory changes that impact business and engage internal functions to develop and execute defined procedures.
+ Serve as a functional expert in Global Trade matters for the region by using experience and knowledge of customs regulations, as well as other partner governmental agencies, to promote increased compliant market access for efficient flow of goods across borders.
+ Drive improvements on cost, lead time and process efficiency through data analytics, automated tool utilization and robust data management
+ Build communications, training plans and desk/standard operating procedures to ensure all internal and external partners are aware and aligned to trade compliance governance processes.

+ Assist with technology, product classification, including Harmonized Commodity Codes (HTS, Schedule B, ECCN) classifications specific to in country requirements.
+ Proactively identify and drive automation, accuracy, friction reduction, and process improvement initiatives
**Qualifications**
+ Licensed Customs Broker Certification required.
+ Deep technical knowledge of global customs, import and export topics, including incoterms, valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, and sanctions
+ Approximately 10 or more years of related work experience in industry, a professional services firm, a Fortune 500 company or a major importer or exporter
+ Being informed on current on global trade developments and work to identify savings opportunities and compliance improvements
+ Excellent team leader with great organizational skills, strong motivation to succeed, and ability to cultivate strong internal and external relationships
+ Flexibility to work with colleagues around the world, foreign language capabilities a plus
+ Experience with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Foreign Assets Control, or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and similar organizations in other countries

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Superintendent to create and maintain the master project schedule, conducting monthly updates as needed.
Conduct constructability reviews and collaborate with Estimators on various construction means and methods, site logistics, hoisting systems, and staffing needs.
Attend preconstruction meetings with Owners/Architects to monitor document design and development, establish project milestones, and ensure project feasibility within budget and schedule constraints.
Procure trade packages as directed by the Project Director and review and approve subcontract drafts prior to issuance.
Ensure all contracts are fully executed with required bonds and insurance before project commencement.

Qualifications:

You will include Directors and field teams in weekly stakeholder meetings to insure they are included in discussions of schedules (3 week look ahead), submittals, RFI's, etc.)
Ensuring that all teams work collaboratively to meet deadlines.
The assigned QC Manager, Superintendent, and SSHO will provide daily/weekly updates to support the need for communication to the stakeholders.
The assigned team members will communicate with you as the Senior PM if they have any issues or concerns, so you are addressing them efficiently and timely. You will communicate these if they need to be addressed by the Directors.
Resolving conflicts and handling personnel issues efficiently.
4. Construction Site Oversight and Quality Assurance
As Project Manager you must ensure that the ongoing construction work aligns with the project's design and quality standards. This includes:
Conducting regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans.
Verifying compliance with safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
You will work with the SSHO to establish cooperate safety plans and make sure Southwind Construction is establishing a “Safet First” culture.
Coordinating with engineers and architects to resolve design issues.
5. Risk Management and Problem-Solving
