The Principal Quality Analyst will support multiple FMS IBCS programs under the direction of Program Quality Engineers and Quality Management. The selected candidate will perform the following:
What you will get to do:
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place for meeting contractual requirements
Perform technical reviews of drawings, SOWs, Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) documents as required
Provide QMA support for preparation of presentation material, review of documentation, sign-off on technical review materials and readiness, attendance at meetings, and support to closeout of review action items
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) review and reporting to include monitoring status of corrective and preventive actions and tracking through closure, reviewing/analyzing defect data, monitoring test problem report data and closure status, monitoring causal analysis and resolution
Support hardware control to Bill of Materials (BOM), First Article Inspections, Material Review Board (MRB), close-out and delivery inspections and control of end item data packages
Support fielded major end items (MEI) integration of hardware/software
Conduct/support internal process evaluations and develop process evaluation reports
Prepare data for management-level presentations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND 5 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance OR a High School Diploma AND 9 years of related experience in at least one of the following areas: Engineering, Production/Manufacturing, Mission Assurance and/or Quality Assurance

Provide a basic understanding and analysis of radiation environments; including the natural orbital trapped particle environments, the natural Interplanetary environment, transient environments (solar events, coronal mass ejection, space weather, etc.), support models for energetic particle environments, and transport of radiation environments including, geomagnetic shielding, and analysis of spacecraft shielding (e.g., FastRAD, Space Radiation).
Perform System design support for Single Event Effects (SEE) and Mission Integrated Dose (Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Displacement Damage Dose (DDD); including development and flow-down of design requirements, analysis of single event effects on system performance, including ad-hoc functional analysis and assessment of system availability.
Provide weekly status reports on activities and issues of concern.
Travel periodically, approximately once every quarter, especially to external test facilities
Position is located at MDA on Redstone Arsenal at MDA facility, with expectation to work onsite in both office setting and in laboratory setting.

This role will provide hands-on experience by assisting in the development and maintenance of the company's Quality Management System supporting advanced analytical technology areas (e.g. Flow Cytometry, Genomics, Proteomics, and Immunohistochemistry).

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in life sciences preferred or other related fields such as legal may be considered

Key Responsibilities:
Supports a variety of Quality Assurance (QA) activities, projects, and initiatives, including process improvement and harmonization, computerized systems validations, and document control
Participates in supplier qualification activities, including follow-ups, downloading certificates, etc.
General administrative activities such as scanning and filing of relevant QA documents
Maintains databases for QA test methods and supplier data
Compiles periodic quality metrics and assists in the development of associated presentation materials
Provides support for members of the QA team at various sites (US and EU)

The QS governing document to be implemented is the MDA Assurance Provisions (MAP). The MAP gives MDA the methodology to measure, confirm, and validate mission success through collection and analysis of metrics, risk assessment, technical evaluations, independent assessment, reviews, conducting tests, and promoting continuous process improvement to reduce cost, improve productivity, and institute QSMA.
Assist with review and assessment of hardware and software compliance with quality and related mission assurance requirements, including support of failure investigations, failure review boards, evaluations, audits, and assessments. Activities include determining root cause of failures of MDA hardware.
Provide technical and data management expertise for quality and mission assurance boards, working groups, and reviews to include (but not limited to) technical and mission reviews, pedigree reviews, first article inspections, and risk working groups.
