The QA/QC Manager leads inspection and quality control activities to ensure incoming, in-process, and final product quality meets customer specifications and internal standards. This role oversees inspectors, NDT personnel, calibration compliance, nonconformance control, corrective action processes, and quality documentation while promoting defect prevention, containment, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions:
Manage QA/QC inspection operations, staffing, and scheduling to support production flow and customer commitments.
Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities, including use of gages, measurement techniques, and required documentation.
Lead nonconformance containment efforts, including identification, segregation, disposition coordination, and corrective action support.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes using structured problem-solving tools.
Oversee NDT activities and ensure compliance with applicable procedures and customer requirements.
Maintain calibration compliance and coordinate calibration activities with the Calibration Technician.
Maintain quality records, traceability, document control, and required QMS documentation.
Provide accurate, timely reporting of FPY, escapes, scrap/rework, audit outcomes, and other key quality indicators.
Train, qualify, and coach inspectors on procedures, measurement techniques, documentation, and safety practices.
Promote and enforce safety awareness and hazard reporting within all inspection and controlled areas.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Proficiency in inspection methods, gage selection, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
Strong understanding of quality systems, nonconformance control, and corrective action methodologies.
Ability to lead investigations, communicate findings, and reinforce prevention-oriented improvements.
Knowledge of QMS requirements, documentation standards, and audit practices.
Effective leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and evaluate inspection personnel.

Working Environment
Work performed in production and inspection areas with exposure to noise, dust, oils/coolants, foundry conditions, and heavy equipment; extended hours may be required during containment or customer-critical events.
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Performs elemental analysis of metal samples using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) to verify alloy composition and detect impurities.
Operates LECO combustion analyzers (e.g., carbon/sulfur, nitrogen/oxygen/hydrogen analyzers) to determine gas content and ensure compliance with material specifications.
Prepares, calibrates, and maintains XRF and LECO instruments, ensuring accuracy through the use of certified reference materials and control samples.

The Mission of the Role
Vistrue is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to be a key member of the overall Product Delivery Team and perform a critical role in Agile software development. Working closely with Development Teams, the Quality Assurance Analyst will ensure we are providing our customers with a high-quality product.

Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet product needs

Use SQL experience to test back-end code that impacts front end UIs and APIs
Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to further identify product requirements and user expectations
Track QA metrics (e.g. escape rate, leakage, test coverage, test progress, tester efficiency, recurrent defects and open defect counts)
Track QA Planning and daily Actual Completed Hours to support burndown reporting
Required Experience
Good knowledge of core software QA methodologies, tools and processes
4+ years of QA experience, including manual testing
2-3 years of testing automation experience
1-2 years of experience working with SOAP/XML and RESTful Web Services/JSON
1-2 years of experience with a test automation framework, such as: * IDE - Visual Studio, IntelliJ * Test Data - Excel, CSV, SQL Server * Testing Tools: Selenium, JUnit, JMeter, Cypress, TestNG * Programming Language: Java or C# (Basic Concepts) * Reporting tools
Understanding of uni-directional and bi-directional APIs and how they work
Experience with QA testing web applications in Chrome and other browsers
Experience with QA testing mobile applications on iOS and/or Android on devices
