Summary:

Essential Functions:

Execute Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (R&R) studies and interpret results to help determine gage capabilities.
Production Testing - Maintain quality assurance metrics on scrap and first pass yield as well as additional quality reports, files and production-related metrics
Supply Chain Quality Management - Responsible for preparing and retaining First Article Inspection (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Temporary Deviation (TD) paperwork.
Document & Record Control - Act as Document Control Administrator for plant. Create work instructions for quality processes and maintain orderly recording and maintenance of both physical and electronic controlled documents and records. Ensure current versions are available at point of use and that obsolete documents are removed and cancelled from system.
CONTINIOUS IMPROVEMENT
Inspection -Maintain and review trends in receiving inspection and act as a back-up to receiving inspector/RMA coordinator.
Quality Management System (QMS) - Assist Quality Team in maintaining our plant-wide, ISO9001:2015 complaint QMS.
PROBLEM SOLVING
Non-conforming Materials -Manage a process for marking, segregation and review of rejected materials. Lead team through disposition, data collection, short and long-term corrective action, supplier interaction, reporting, and trend analysis.
Corrective Action - Help conduct investigative and thorough inquiries to seek root cause and determine corrective actions using 8D, 5-Whys, Fishbone or other quality tools.
Audit - Conduct 6S, product, process and/or systems audits within the plant.

Apply agents, such as cleaners, penetrants, and developers, and couplant to parts
Conduct visual, penetrant, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle tests on metal parts to determine if parts meet nondestructive specifications
Mark tested parts to indicate conforming and defective areas
Interpret and evaluate test results against designated standards, utilizing knowledge of metals and testing experience in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures
