What you will do: As an employee-owner, you will report to the General Manager. As the Quality Manager you would lead our quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role oversees the quality and warranty teams, ensuring that all products meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards. The Quality Manager will leverage data-driven decision-making to drive corrective actions, improve customer satisfaction, and lead the organization toward operational excellence.
Some Essential Duties:
Lead and develop the Quality and Warranty teams, setting goals, providing training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Oversee product quality control processes, ensuring all products meet specifications and regulatory requirements prior to shipment.
Analyze nonconformance, warranty, customer complaint, and field failure data to identify trends and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Conduct and manage internal audits, calibration programs, and measurement system analyses (MSA).
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to resolve quality issues and enhance process capability.
Coordinate and participate in customer audits, manage follow-up activities, and ensure timely resolution of findings.
Lead root cause analysis initiatives for product and process issues.
Lead the team that will develop and maintain documentation for the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO standards.
Monitor warranty claims and drive improvements that reduce failure rates and cost of poor quality.
Report key quality metrics, performance trends, and customer satisfaction measures to leadership.
Qualifications: Five years' experience in quality, engineering, or warranty in a manufacturing facility. Degree in a qualified field preferrable. Experience supervising and leading teams. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and Automotive OE Requirements (AIAG-FMEA, PPAP, APQP, etc.) or similar quality system requirements.

Participate in and support root cause analysis to address external and internal quality-related problems.

The Customer Quality Lead will be part of the site quality leadership team in driving regulatory compliance and improving customer quality service levels. Interact with the Curia Quality network to share information related to quality expectations, inspections, audits, facilitating harmonization of the quality system within Curia.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field
Minimum 10 -15 years QA, API process development, technical services, or Compliance experience in the pharmaceutical industry at USFDA regulated facilities
Required working experience with global customers and global cross-functional teams
Broad knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and international regulations (e.g., 21 CFR 11, 210, 211, 820, EU GMP, ICH Q7), Quality Systems for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and familiarity with guidelines (e.g., FDA, ICH).
Knowledge of pharmaceutical production processes.
USFDA inspection experiences (participating or leading)
Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills, and demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across internal stakeholders.

Utilize and implement applicable state of the art technologies and/or processes that can provide value to AFB.
Design and justify equipment or processes in concert with project teams to support new product or business development.
Provides technical support to the plant as required including quality, reliability or other areas as needed.
Analyzes technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects.
Confers with production management staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing processes.
Provides direction and example for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities.
Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly.
Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, and Electrical Engineering from four-year ABET accredited college or university

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to read drawings and interpret line diagrams, equipment layout drawings, and electrical prints.
Knowledge and understanding of plc ladder logic programming and interpreting line diagrams and electrical schematics is beneficial.
Proficient skill level in MS Office Applications such as Word and Excel
Knowledge of algebraic and calculus mathematical concepts, theory, and application
Knowledge of food product manufacturing equipment including but not limited to meat grinders, extrusion machines, and dry blend equipment is highly desired. Previous experience with food safety programs, including HACCP and cGMPs is beneficial.
The ability to convey technical requirements through the use of AutoCAD or similar software to generate drawings, process flow diagrams as well as process and instrumentation drawings.
