Responsibilities:
Audits processes, tests and inspects products and/or develops, compiles and evaluates statistical data to define and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Working from engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, diagrams, written descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform complex engineering testing, checkout, First Article Inspection, root cause research, internal corrective actions and supplier correction actions.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to define quality and reliability standards.
Selects processes to be audited from primarily the manufacturing areas and checks for a variety of features, including ESD (electro-static discharge) and handling practices, documentation, training and process integrity.
Selects products for audits at specified stages in the production or post-production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical, electrical or cosmetic characteristics.
Records audit data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards, programs or reports to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Perform calibration on inspection tools e.g. micrometers, calipers height gages etc.
Maintain gage track program, print list of gages due for calibration in the beginning of each month and follow up with calibration.
Send gages out for calibration, maintain calibration records.
Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for research data.
Download quality information from quality system to be used for QA reports.
Research for engineering test results and implements process changes to resolve problems.
Performs out of box audits (OBA) as required.
Provides factory hold up to identify and resolve issues associated with purchased parts, materials and manufacturing.
May be required to perform receiving inspection.
Review at the beginning of the shift the Quality Auditors assistance and validated the Check List.
Scrap disposition at MRB in less than 24 hours.
Assure that the Customer implementation activities are in place.
Meet the SSYMA requirements (boats, goggles, gloves, ear plugs).
Review the SPC data and confirm the actions are effective.
Validate the tooling and gauges are working properly (microscope, magnifier, etc).
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 1 year of related experience.

THE PERSON:

The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that CelLink's products meet defined standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This position is responsible for inspecting materials and products at various stages of production, executing test procedures, and identifying non-conforming parts or processes. Quality Technicians support the manufacturing team by monitoring process quality, completing documentation accurately, and escalating quality concerns in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor part and process quality, implement and sustain corrective and preventive actions, and countermeasures.
Work closely with Process Engineering and Production team members to establish and sustain robust processes and procedures, which ensure consistent high quality.
Audit manufacturing lines against approved manufacturing processes, procedures, and requirements.
Verify and audit incoming, in-process, and outgoing material to CelLink and Customer Quality and Engineering requirements and specifications.
Promptly communicate emerging and trending quality issues.
Lead and co-ordinate containment, sorting, and MRB activities as needed.
Support and participate in Quality System Development activities, New Product Launches, and Continuous Improvement.
Train operators/inspectors regarding quality, inspection, and repair.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Experience/Education
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or similar) preferred but not required. Exceptions are based on years of experience in a similar role.
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing, quality, or process-focused role in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Command of the English language, both written and verbal, required.
Mechanical inspection experience using basic and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.).
Familiarity with common workplace software (Microsoft Office).
