JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for setup, execution, and shutdown of print jobs on all 3D printers. Finishes printed parts by performing all necessary post-processing steps to ensure parts meet all department and customer quality requirements before shipping. Controls inventory of 3D printing materials and assists in the maintenance of 3D printing equipment and area.

Responsible for 3D printer operation and maintenance.

**AS QUALITY CONTROLS TECHNICIAN YOU WILL:** + Accomplish specific goals to address Safety, Delivery, Quality, Cost of Operations, and Training. + Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment in accord with company policies. + Produce quality products and eliminate the cost of non-conformance.
+ Continuously improve performance by implementing lean initiatives such as waste elimination, kanbans, pull production, continuous flow, 6-S and TPM.
+ Troubleshoot problems in the product and resolve product and manufacturing process problems as needed, utilizing resources (Engineering, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Marketing, etc.) as necessary.
+ Cross-train on other jobs to prevent lapses in production flow. This includes machining, assembly, deburring, stockroom, trucking, inspection, etc.
+ Obtain and maintain all required certifications including qualification and testing in accordance with FMP2J1.
+ Perform other job assignments as needed to maintain efficient operation or as supervisory personnel direct.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ High School diploma or GED required.
+ Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time; strength in arms and legs.
+ Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.
**PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:**
+ Understand and relate proper measurement techniques and sequences as well as working knowledge of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T).
+ Experience performing inspection methods
+ Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Quality Technician will contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) by providing production support to identify and resolve quality issues within the production operation. Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of the manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing, documentation, and where necessary, facilitate corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues. Report quality issues data, ensuring the QMS is adhered to at all stages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, this person will:
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished equipment to verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Investigate quality issues to identify root cause and facilitate appropriate corrective action activities through multiple departments.
Use measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, calipers, micrometers, instrumentation) to inspect dimensional and functional characteristics.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements and acceptance criteria.
Accurately document inspection results, nonconformances, and test data in quality records, ERP, and QMS systems.
Identify, document, and initiate nonconforming material reports (NCRs) and support root cause and corrective action activities.
Support production and assembly teams by providing real-time quality feedback and assisting with problem resolution.
Conduct first article inspections and validation of new or revised processes, parts, or equipment.
Assist with supplier quality activities, including incoming inspection, supplier issue documentation, and communication of quality concerns.
Maintain and verify calibration status of inspection tools and gages per established procedures.
Follow and support compliance with internal quality procedures and safety requirements.
