GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Read and interpret AV System drawings, schematics, and construction plans. * Perform on-site audiovisual equipment installation and support of various presentation and building systems including Audio, Video, Central Sound and controlled rooms in support of our clients. * Role includes but is not limited to cable installation, termination, rack configuration, device programing and overall quality control of A/V systems. * Maintain system documentation through installation. * Assist with programming, test and check-out. * Ensure quality control throughout. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, depending on position. * 5 years minimum, Industry Experience, associated certifications a plus (AVIXA, BICSI). * Must have documented experience in similar support role. * Experience in installation of displays, screens, and projectors. * Experience with AV and network test equipment. * Experience utilizing PC and support applications. * Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and work within varied conditions. * Must be comfortable working on ladders and on lifts as required. * Capable of logically and systematically troubleshooting issues. * Must possess excellent communications skills both verbally and in writing. * Must be detail-oriented and possess great organizational skills. * Must have strong work ethic. * Ability to maintain a Professional demeanor. * Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work well with others. * Ability to work independently and in a team environment. * Valid Driver's License. Execute on all technical aspects of a production. Work with lead technicians and PAV production managers interfacing directly with equipment, stagehands, and contract labor for events to ensure proper implementation of good and services through the production process. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but are not limited to…) Serve as a technician in variety of roles and disciplines. (technician, audio, video, lighting) Work with a PAV Production Manager and/or PAV Lead Technician to implement the technical aspects of a show related to assigned role, set up, and operate related AV equipment. Attend site checks as required Relay details (financial, creative, & logistic wants/needs) to Venues Director of AV Services/Venues Sales and Account Managers as they change to assist with maintaining an accurate order and bill for clients and venues and overall client satisfaction Execute on the timeline for production to ensure event planning stays on schedule Work with Warehouse staff to ensure assets required for event are available in the event that assets are not available, work with project manager and/or Venue TD to pickup/return sub-rentals. Work with Project Managers, TD, and other event staff for efficient Run of Show Maintain working knowledge of all aspects of event for smooth transition to persons assigned to roles (Lead Technicians: General Session, Plenary, Breakout, Exhibits, etc.) Responsible for playing or recording media for Project Manager or client for event display or to transfer media to PAV production manager to deliver to client Work with Facility Event Managers or PAV CAD tech to understand the detailed drawings of event per client specifications. Update account/project manager on orders so they're current throughout planning, run of show, and ready for invoicing at end of event. Excellent customer service skills, applied to external and internal customers equally. SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/KNOWLEDGE: Must be organized, attentive to detail, persistent and demonstrate the ability to follow through projects to completion. Capable of handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines. Capable of working with all levels of show management under minimal supervision. Technical and Mechanical Aptitude Computer Hardware and Software Proficient Ability to run show from concept and implementation, to live show and load out. Knowledgeable and proficient in safety policies and procedures for live events industry and related fields.
