Essential Functions
Demonstrates competency in the performance of job-related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services.
After appropriate training, would aid in positioning patients for MRI and/or CT exams.
Utilize venipuncture skills in assisting CT and MRI techs as needed
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks to assist remote technologist.
Support other staff and site as needed in the day-to-day operations of the imaging center.
Positions and assists in MRI for the ROCC team
Screens patients

Performs a variety of radiological procedures, including vascular, invasive, interventional examinations and computerized tomographic procedures. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment. Ability to perform duties of ARRT Technologist when not performing CT.

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammographic imaging procedures to aid in the detection and diagnosis of breast disease. This role includes preparing and positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, and ensuring accurate image acquisition while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach to patient care. The technologist also assists with interventional breast procedures, performs bone density and general X-ray exams as needed, and supports administrative tasks such as image management and patient follow-up.
This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and patient education. The technologist must be flexible to work at multiple locations and varied shifts, and demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented mindset. A focus on continuous learning, excellent communication, and delivering “World Class Customer Service” is essential to success in this role.
Mammography Technologist Detailed Responsibilities
Prepares and positions patient for mammography procedures.
Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Moves imaging equipment into specified position determines exposure factors based on patient characteristics and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
Explains purpose and procedures for breast self-examination to patients and answers patients' questions.
Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
Completes work in RIS and PACS.
Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
Protocol schedules, obtains and reviews previous mammograms, makes follow-up calls, and performs other administrative tasks as necessary.
Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
Prepare and assist with Interventional procedures to include handling of specimens and completing lab forms.
Performs Stereotactic procedures, Bone Density procedures and X-ray procedures when needed or required.
Must be flexible to work at multiple locations and varied shifts.
Demonstrates a commitment to “World Class Customer Service” and promotes a positive work environment.
Fileroom tasks up to including uploading CD's, SHS images, digitizing films and creating loan requests
