RAYUS Radiology is looking for a X-Ray/Fluoro Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining the light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a X-ray/Fluoro Technologist, you will assure that services are provided to patients and referring specialists within professional standards. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company. This is a Temporary/PRN position working 12 hours per week. Shift hours and days will vary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(85%) Imaging
Produces diagnostic images in assigned area
Performs quality control tasks as assigned
Promotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnel
Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers
Maintains accurate patient records within Radiologic Information System (RIS)
Works with a Fluoroscopy C-Arm in Surgical and Outpatient procedures
(10%) Department Support
Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement
Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual
Answers department phone calls

How you'll contribute
A Radiology Technologist who excels in this role:
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates the patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What we're looking for
Graduate or Registry Eligible Radiologic Technologist of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
Minimum Work Experience
New Rad Tech Graduates considered.
6 months experience as Rad Tech - Preferred for Evening, Night and Weekend Shifts.
Additional requirements include:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
Registry Eligible Technologist must be registered within three (3) months of graduation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs appropriate volume of procedures according to patient load
